Tough Game

Mike Stanton has a pretty imposing swing, doesn’t he? I don’t find Gaby Sanchez to be the force the broadcasters do. He’s having a nice little streak to start the season. But Stanton, that dude is a Man-Child. When you look at Florida’s LU, it’s a big reminder to us of what we DON’T have. We don’t have a single player who offers the type of power that several of those dudes do…..

And if Nolasco can shut us down like that I shudder to think of what Anibel Sanchez will do on Thursday. At least we get a break with Volstad. He’s a big son of a be-atch. but he’s a pretty below average pitcher…..

Big road trip coming up after Giants face Anibel tomorrow. Three in Brewtown and four under the Arch (another brewtown), though the only brews known to come outta those places are what i call ‘television beer’ ~swill so bad they hafta advertise the piss outta the stuff on the boobtoob to get the boobs to swill it. Way they been hitting tonight Giants will lucky to win 2 of seven on that trek. Milwaukee has been pretty hot lately and the Cards can be plumb nasty at home.

Is it true that Huff has a bad eye infection of some sort or another and will have to go on the DL, with Belt getting the call? Giants seem to be getting all kindsa weird injuries this season. Happening to some of their best-paid players too.

Sabes will need to make several moves before the deadline. Itz long enough now to figure this team, for whatever reason, is not going to average more than 4 rpg, if that. A bat, maybe two, are needed. When they go against a good offensive squad, the pitching staff has to be perfect to win the game. After a while, thatz going to be too much pressure…

Hoping it looks worse than what it actually is . . . I have to say this though – Posey is a catcher and that’s where we need him when he returns. Having him at first or another position is ok for when he needs a rest. Actually, ALL catchers should get at least one day off a week . . . and most do now-a-days, but catcher is his position and what happened tonight comes with the territory. It looked like a “bang bang” play and I can’t fault Cousins for his hard nosed play.

Whiteside will be fine . . . I saw him at one of the games I attended (May 12th) and he hit two doubles; plus, he called an excellent game with Cain winning.

Anywho, that’s my thoughts on it . . . Good night all.
