Clayton Richard Sucks And the Ticket Booth is OPEN!!!!!!!!
I don’t know why we can’t hit Richard. He was lucky last year and he’s been imminently hittable this year. THis guy has a WHIP nearing Tyler Walker Territory. Whatever, it was just a bad game, I guess. Maybe we had a bit of a hangover from the road trip….
Timmy sucked again. In fact, the entire team (except Pablo) looked flat. I hope we don’t fall into a rut against the Padres again, we play 20% of our remaining games against them this year……
Anna is offering up her July 7th tickets. There are two of them. It’s a 7:15pm game. Email me if you want them. They’re free as usual and as usual ANNA RULES……
The Flap Fantasy Baseball League Standings
(Haven’t posted them in a while. Not much has changed. Pawlie still rules our world. Blade is making a little noise. BB’s has settled nicely into the mid 40’s)
Either Dave Roberts doesn’t life weights anymore (unlikely) or he was on steroids (like many of them). That dudes was never big or tall but he had some *wide* going on his shoulders. He looks like a tiny man tonight…..
Jesus H. Christ. Last yr Cain w/ 2-outs and w/RISP was absolutely money. This year? The “Swingers” are money and he doesn’t even know it.
Tejada has also hit .280 since June 1; 12 for his last 35 with that ground out. OPS over .700 at home. He’d be fine at 2b. font wasn’t exactly lighting things up when he left…hall/burriss on thin ice, I’d guess.
worse than walking around lucky and not knowing it……..
Did Guzman get a WS ring?
If Lewis did he absolutely should have. Guzman won a game for us last year, singlehandedly. Mr Electric was gone before the year even started……
I remember Miller saying Burriss was hit on both legs in the last series (hbp or foul, can’t remember).
I’m getting the feeling the Giants are dying for the A-S break. The focus–pitchers ‘executing’ pitches, hitters trying to pick up slumping teammates–is exhausting with all the challenges they face: not a robust offense in the first place, weak performances from key vets, serious injuries to key people. Then the added pressure of defending as WORLD CHAMPIONS. Like I posted the other day, the offensive failures in particular can be corrosive to the team’s performance overall, and I think Sabean is likely to do something bigger than not. Some of you have mentioned Beltran, Pena, and now Lee. I don’t really like any of those guys, but I guess they qualify.
I know it’s the 7th inning and all, but man I sure would like to see one of our guys hit it out of the infield.
Or just foul it off a 100 times to get walked. Hell of an at bat.
Great AB by Torres!
Actually, neither Lewis or Guzman played for SF in 2010…
Little bit of trivia here. Y’all probably know that Kuiper only hit one homerun in his entire career. Did ya know that Krukow hit FIVE in his career?
The guy britton that pitches for the Orioles went 2 for 3 and scored twice with an HR over the weekend. Let them hit and dump the fucking DH!
When Kuiper used to play, he reminded me of Chris Arnold.
Yup! That’s the Polish Prince, for ya!
Bad decision by Andres. Once he hesitated he shouldn’t have gone. Worse was Cain. Once they grabbed the lead, your “horse” doesn’t give it up.
kruk was talking up nate for his stats on the road trip, but counting the getaway vs. tribe, he’s 0-his last 11 at home. He hits .231 at home, .306 on the road,,,,OPS of .638 at home, .814 on the road.
Be nice if they can wear Bell out and beat him.
Our situational hitting w/ a runner at third and < 2 outs is a goddamn joke. 2nd worst in the majors. WTF kind of third strike swing was that by Torres? How many more games with the Friars this year? They OWN us. We'll be lucky to go 6-13 vs them year. "Ownage is ownage."
Many of you never want to put any blame on the pitching- Cain had to keep the 3-2 lead. With that said, I hate the bunt by Stewart. I’d much rather have Hall swinging away.
Fear of the DP. No confidence in the bat.
I understand the reasoning, I always do. But this situation was the only reason Hall was here. There were no outs, even the dreeaded DP leave the tying run on.
Well… umm… hmm… at least we got 11 hits?
Dennis, when you put up posts like that it sounds like your owning yourself in a perverse uroboros kind of way. Torres is slumping. His AB was terrible. He’ll probably have a few more terrible ABs before he turns it around. That’s the way it goes. Crawford almost fought his way through against a challenge almost all rookies would fail, and then he failed, too. That’s the way it goes. Now they’re only 9 games over .500. Well, they can take the WD with 92-94 wins. They’re already more than 1/2 their way there. (Note that triple play!) Calm down.
“like you’re owning yourself”
sorry
The Marlins lost 14-2 tonight. I wonder if McKeon has more thoughts about the All-Star game on his mind.
Mistakes or not- Torres plays everyday. They don’t score 2 in the first without him. He also saved a double from becoming a triple..
BTW, I didn’t notice until now but that fuck Qualls PUNCHED Torres. And it was no accident. I’m not usually for retaliation, but MadBum should buzz Hundley tomorrow
And he spiked the ball like he forgot he wasn’t a charger, one of those friars needs to get plunked
