A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

They Beat Us, We Lose

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 8, 2013

Sometimes this is an incredibly simple game. They pitch better, they hit better, they win.

It’s like, “we score, we win” only much, much lamer.

Or just say, “Cliff Lee and Kyle Kendrick were better than MadBum and Lincecum”.

It’s frustrating, I don’t think the Phillies are a very good team. They’re old. Their hitters are largely underwhelming. And they haven’t pitched up to expectations this year.

At least, until this series.

At least we miss Hamels. I know next to nothing about Pettibone other than he’s a pitcher…..

This looks like what happened in Denver. They lost a game they could have won on the road, won on the road, then took it to Denver at home. They can do the same thing to SA.

I’m happy for all those long-suffering Dubs season tix holders. They have paid their dues, and now are ready for a coupla really exciting games, I should think. This should get interesting. It’s not too early to say this feels a little like the ’74-’75 season, which I remember well. Curry is playing the Rick Barry role, with Bogut playing Johann and George Johnson combined. Let’s see how far it goes, but if the Dubs win Friday night to go up 2-1, the roof is going to blow off Oracle…
