A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Game Time Thread!

I didn’t get a chance to properly honor what Barry Zito did yesterday. After losing his mom (last year or so?) he lost his dad on Wednesday. I know all of you knew this but it was still impressive and even uplifting to see him not only pitch yesterday but pitch very, very well. There’s a good article at the Merc by Purdy today detailing Zito’s dad’s role in his life. It must have been so hard for him to work yesterday. Two flaps up to Barry Zito and the life and memory of his dad…….

Yes, tip of the cap to Zito, and to you for reminding us.

Cain seems intent on keeping that HR/FB% high.

Sunday night, sun going down, Giants on the radio.
    I am baking some fish.

Lately my hopes for success have been dumbfounded.

6 runs scored in 3+ games. Ugly. i really think this LU is just missing Pablo. If he comes back hitting, I think everyone will get going again (except for Noonan who will be optioned).

Thank you Pawlie, I knew JP Donleavy is within your wheelhouse.
Unfortunately, I think the Giants need to learn how to fucking fry fish
        Fecking Hell..

Machi must be thinking of making his way back to the Mexican league. Giants Pen is looking like a gas station with leaking hoses. Losing 3 of 4 to Miami at home is just inexcusable. This upcoming roadie looks very problematic…

I don’t really see it as *inexcusable*. No Panda or Pagan and Scoots and Crawford are dealing with finger things that are slowing them down (and Torres with his knee) and as much as I like Perez he really looked like a rook in this series. I just think Miami came here at the right time and got to pitch against an offense that really is patched together right now……

Marcel Ozuna was just 2-for-31 at the plate over his last eight games prior to Thursday’s game with us. Although he sat that game, Ozuna had the pinch-hit two-run single against Affeldt to give the Marlins the 2-1 victory. Fast forward to this afternoon, he was a major pain in the ass to the GMen this series, accounting for 1 SB, 2 runs, and 6 RBIs.

Well, the good news is Pablo’s back tomorrow. Hopefully he can get the lineup rolling. Buster’s been DOA lately. Pence hasn’t been doing much (minus the lone HR) lately either.

We saw Hunter stepping up (part way) and blanco and a flash from Perez.
but my man Belt? no so much, I am revising my appraisal to underachieving talent.
