A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

So how important is this 3 games series? To us? To them? They re-arranged their rotation for this series and frankly, I think that was a great move. I’m glad we have Timmy going tonight, he’s been so good at home. But Voggy and Petit following him? Not much we could have done about Petit but I really wish Bum or Huddy were going this weekend….

So how many games do you think we HAVE to win, considering the opponent, the current NL West standings and the fact that this is at home? I’m assuming we all agree zero would be a disaster and no one in their right mind should think we have to sweep the Dodgers this weekend…..

Highlight of the night is Pawlie saying hi to Manny Burris. I rooted hard and lobbied hard for that guy as well.

Uggla…some kind of record for triples?

    This inning over yet?

It is ONE game. I’ve seen enough. Good night gents…it’s a new day tomorrow (and maybe I wake pleasantly surprised in the morning).

That was one tough inning. They are already blaming Tim’s pitching tonight on the relief appearance. Maybe so, or maybe he really does hate throwing to Buster. Whatever, things sure unraveled fast, didn’t they?

    Just wondering?
Does baseball protocol for concussion exclude the Giants organization?

    Uggleau — what a 2nd base combo.

  14. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:19 pm

Yeah, keep throwing shit right down the middle to Puig.

  15. SanDawg's avatar SanDawg said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:19 pm

Fucking Puig is going to haunt us for years.

    • unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:20 pm

If the idea for going after him is to throw pitches like that, he will.

    • James's avatar James said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:29 pm

Matt Kemp was gonna do the same. LA probably won’t lose consecutive players of that caliber to injury, though.

  16. James's avatar James said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:20 pm

3 triples in a game must be a lot more rare than 3 HRs.

  17. unca_chuck's avatar unca_chuck said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:21 pm

Anyone hit 4 triples in one game?

  18. Alleykat's avatar Alleykat said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:26 pm

Custard had a better chance of a comeback then the Giants tonight.

All I’m hoping for out of this series now is a good performance by Vogey.

    • DJLoo's avatar DJLoo said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:48 pm

Vogey just turned 37 the other day, I think…

  20. DJLoo's avatar DJLoo said, on July 25, 2014 at 9:47 pm

They’ve already given #22 to Yabu and El Presidente. What’s the difference at this point?

    • DJLoo's avatar DJLoo said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:03 pm

      Murph is obviously an Anti-Clarkite…

      • DJLoo's avatar DJLoo said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:17 pm

Not to mention the disgrace of handing out Kent’s 21 to Abreu among others. Murph is the biggest problem on this team, IMO…

Shit. Batting 2nd for the Giants? Blanco.

Batting 2nd for the Dodgers? Puig.

They’re getting a hair bit more production from the 2 hole.

    • tedspe's avatar tedspe said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:12 pm

      A hair

  23. tedspe's avatar tedspe said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:04 pm

What an assholey look on Puig’s face and demeanor when he hit that. Granted, he’s good but he had the expression that there was no question it was gone and he had the most, snarky, shit eating grin on his face.
Yeah, he’s good. But if I saw him in a public place, I’d order a drink just to accidently spill it on him.

    Prick

  24. Macdog's avatar Macdog said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:04 pm

Even his out is smoked. If this is any indication, the Giants cannot give Puig anything to hit the rest of the series.

    • tedspe's avatar tedspe said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:09 pm

      He’s still a prick.

  25. Locojuan's avatar Bozo said, on July 25, 2014 at 10:08 pm

The Puig out was the Giants highlight tonight. It was mine anyway.
    Night all.

And that’s about it. Screw it. I can only guess Bochy’s up-tempo speech to the gang:
Come on, boys! The way you’re lollygaggin’ around here with them gloves and them bats, you’d think it was a hundert an’ twenty degree. Can’t be more than a hundert an’ fourteen.
