Destroying the VMI Challenged Rockies Today

Normally, I would be bummed about the Giants returning home for a series since they’ve sucked so badly this year at AT&T. But today, I’m excited. Colorado has the worst visual memory index number of any team in baseball today at -25.97. Peavy should toy with them.

VMI is a fascinating tool I’ve used this year to assess pitchers and hitters on a daily basis. It factors in changes in altitude, humidity and temperature and how those changes affect a player’s visual memory and muscle memory. Colorado is throwing a very bad left handed pitcher at us today. I expect all our hitters to feast on him and a handy win is likely forthcoming…..

Lunchtime in China, between my morning and afternoon classes; not really following the game except by reading Flapper comments. I have learned how to determine exactly how a game is going based on the number of times the F word is used…. Unfortunately, today’s usage is climbing….

Giants catchers need to take some remedial work on how to tag runners in this new rule era. Susac had the ball in plenty of time to tag the runner even with him being way out in front of the plate. Instead of reaching over to his left and planting the glove/ball directly in front of the left side of the plate and letting the runner slide into the glove/ball before the foot could even reach the plate, Susac lunged above ground UP THE LINE towards third to tag the runner on the lower leg. No way the play should have been even close enough to miss the call. Got fortunate on the protest…

so who holds record for most consecutive days ejected from a game?
I know there’s been mgrs. thrown out of both games of a DH.

  Just saw the mlb.com replay on the called K on Buster. Looked like the ball crossed the front of the plate already below Buster’s knees, clearly below when the catcher caught it. The ump was obviously ready and looking to toss Bochy, he tossed him while Bochy must have barely got off one F word still in the dugout. This ump is a chump…
