A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Wanting To Be More Than A Wild Card

There are a lot of games that, on paper, don’t really interest me.

Tonight is not one of those games….

Game on.

Huge win. Timmy should pitch 9th. some day one of our guys is going to come out after 3 and we are going to need him…

I think it would be degrading.

Not only do the Giants beat the snot-rockets out of L.A., but look who owns a better record than the A’s.

“We score (first), we win”….. that’s about as good as anyone could’ve asked for game 1. Keep on truckin’…

Gutierrez threw some nice hooks there at the end. Maybe that’ll help him get some mojo back. I like how Bochy let him get well there…

very nice line in the box score this am:
    ” a-Homered for Bumgarner in the 7th.”
bum out with under a hundred and ishi finally gets his splash hit.

Last regular flap post (Salty) 10:48.
Last Rooster post 7:42. Must have been late dinner party.

Appears Ryu suffering from same shoulder discomfort that caused him to miss 3 weeks earlier…hmmn. LA Times article said the Frias kid might take his place in rotation.
Hopefully, when we get the last Rooster post, no one takes his place.

Haven’t had a Bozo post in quite a while either. Hope everything is OK in Carolina land, and you are enjoying Giants run along with rest of us.

Madison Bumgarner is younger than all 10 of the players the Giants called up for expanded rosters in September. He’s also awesome.

Craig…. it’s 9:45 on Sat. morning in Cali, wake up! 🙂 going on 1am Sunday morning in China, and I’m heading to bed. What a tremendous weekend for Giants baseball. So many things to talk about. I’ve gotten into reading the Dodgers page of the LA Times online, and here’s an interesting story, if Flappers haven’t seen it:

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgers/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-dodgers-giants-rivalry-respect-20140912-story.html.

Game 2: Greinke hasn’t lost to the Giants. apparently ever. Hudson is really hungry for a World Series ring. Crawford, LA’s hottest hitter, sat against Big Country but will play on Saturday. And the fun continues….

Nice column from the LA Times, thanks!
I had to chuckle when he referred to the Giants fans as the “world’s most obnoxious fans,” because it’s just funny how everybody thinks everybody else’s teams have the most obnoxious fans.
