Opening Day
So today, the Dodgers have to actually play a team that’s conscious. That will be a new thing for them after what they’ve been doing the last 3 days. I don’t even know who’s managing the Padres these days but whoever it is did not have his team prepared to play baseball this year.
Alex Wood is just a guy, and if anyone is gonna be focused up and geeked out of his mind for an opening day start it’s Peavy. I’m a little worried about this flu bug+flight+no rest but whatever, it’s baseball it’s not like they’re running a marathon.
Another game I have to follow on gamecast. Anyone going?
Opening Day. Nothing like it.
grand slams against the Dodgers are just a little bit sweeter.

Nice time to get his first dinger.
Woo hoo! Looked grim early on, but the bats warmed up once Wood tried to get through his 3rd time.
BArt was a nightmare, but it usually is a varying flavor of suck.
Chuck and Sarge couldn’t have picked a better game.
Roberts actually got some cheers. Good on them…..
Good thing Ben Hur is waiting in the wings, um, on his chariot, as a starter.
Jesus. The turnover by the Dubs is nuts lately. Stupid shit.
Just a sweet game to attend. Met Chi for the first time, cool guy. His daughter as well, two cool people.
What a game to watch live and see the fantastic comeback. Funny, I called a Peavy strikeout wile I was with my buds who are season ticket holders Hey had two on at least, maybe the bases were chucked and I called the strikeout as it was his second time through the lineup and he was starting to roll a little bit
In a surprise, it looks as if I have a publisher for CHASING WILLIE MAYS. They are “thrilled” with the manuscript. I was working on a fictional version, but now . . . who knows?
Awesome, Pawlie…
A little Willie math for you Pawlie. He’s now been retired for exactly half his life.
Awesome! That’s great news Paul.
Dubs are killing SA inside.
Love the face Kerr has them laying off the 3.
Dubs and Spurs playing it straight. Good to see Festivus playing well.
Saw a highlight of Arnie Palmer, Nicklaus and Player at the ceremonial first drives for the Masters. Unfortunately, Arnie looks really old and not at all well. Before it’s too late, here’s a salute to the King — he brought golf into the popular culture world long before there was a Tiger. He paved the road for a lot of guys to get rich hitting a little white ball around…
