Game Time Thread
Well, we’re about to find out if this Peavy start is “M*A*S*H” or “The Jefferson’s” or “Good Times” or…..
As I said, I’m predicting Peavy doesn’t get blasted tonight. I see him pitching better than he has all year— Toronto in an unfamiliar yard, just played yesterday IN Toronto. Keep the fucking ball down, he might be ok. Plus, and this is a biggie, when everyone THINKS a pitcher is going to get blasted that’s when he doesn’t get blasted……
There’s some optimism for ya….
Fucking shootout at the OK Corral with the Warrior game! Holy shit…
Don;t like Barbosa shooting that.
Curry!
WTF…Refs swallow the whistles for so long, and then call that shit…
No kidding. The flopping tonight is terrible on both sides.
6 point swing on the bs offensive foul.
I remember a time when Posey coming up in that situation would have been a blessing … Oh, that seems so long ago.
2/3 of the way to the trifuckta.
Dodgers lost. Giants are still tied for first place! 🙂
Rocks got destroyed by the Snakes. The world is back to normal.
Don’t count the Warriors out yet Unca…
Whoa! Nice pass by Curry.
I know Curry’s made shots like that all year, but that looks pretty bad when it doesn’t go in this late in a playoff game.
I had more of a problem with the lack of D on the transition…
I ain;t. But Green was fouled.
Refs are awful tonight…just way too inconsistent. Or, inconsistently fucked-up is another way to look at it!
Barnes decides to show up? Okay…
Holy shit. Barnes picked a good time to hit a 3.
Of course we are going to OT…WTF. Sharks and now the Dubs!
Steph!! Not a very good shot there. Great D by Thompson.
Green has one foul left.
WTF was that shot, Green?
Steph putting the team on his back, again…
One man wrecking crew.
Holy Shit!
Curry is fucking unconscious! MVP!
Amazing.
Holy shit. Welcome back Steph.
“I am HERE! I am BACK!”
Warriors AKA Curry schooling Portland.
Break out the dagger! Close this shit out boys! Curry for President!
This isn’t Walt Frazier on a bad knee, but holy shit. Steph took this game over.
Wasn’t it Willis Reed?…
Steph on fire!!!
Glad he’s back unstoppable in OT!!
A shutdown D!!!
Game in the bag. No doubt. ‘Nite 😉
Curry lets fly those shots and I’m saying, “No way,” . . . yes way.
Curry is a fucking Ninja. An assassin.
Only Curry was ripping the nets, not Rip City???
You would never know he was off for two weeks nursing a bum knee. Unreal.
Fuck yeah! What a game! Down by 16 and they put the dagger to the heart in OT, in Portland. Wow.
I think the best thing to happen tonight was Livingston getting tossed.
G’nite, girls. Make it an awesome day tomorrow. Maybe the slumbering offense that is the Giants will wake their sorry asses up sometime soon. But I was talking with some friends earlier and we all agree, would rather be scuffling now, and in 1st place (or near) than on cruise control like the cubbies. Keep it all close and then put on that run in August or September.
Curry said the team was very fired up by Livingston’s being fired up.
Curry MVP earlier today.
Then, this incredible 4th quarter and OT proves again he’s the MVP.
Curry is King of the Bay Area’s sports. He’s clearly now almost on Mt. BayAreaMore with Joe — just win the title, and he’s there…
Klay blanketed Lillard for almost the entire 2nd half. Lillard got hot late, but he was invisible on offense for much of the game, due to Klay’s D…
As for the Giants, in keeping with today’s theme:
If Curry doesn’t get a unanimous vote for the MVP the dude who didn’t vote for him needs to be exposed and hung in effigy. This guy is a cold-blooded assassin who had every reason to not do what he did tonight and he did it anyway.
Peavy and Cain now have a combined 1-8 record.
On the brink of the 1/4 season mark and, with the exception of Belt, we are in another (2nd time inside a month) team wide offensive slump. Imagine where we would be without the efforts of our starting 3 pitchers. We are barely squeaking by all these — .500 and lower — teams we are facing. So far, it feels like we are delusional to think we can contend for much more than 3rd place in our division. On the upside, it is nice to see Belt produce at the level most of us thought he was capable of.
This road trip to AZ and the following series at home with the Cubs should be very telling.
