Any idea why tonight I don’t have access to the Giants feed on the MLB Extra Innings package on Direct TV?
Tomorrow? Yes. Sunday? Yes. Tonite? No. I don’t live in the Giants market either.

I hear you, but I think instinct kicks in when you’re tracking a fly ball. He’s been doing it his whole life and he’s not used to having a large mound of dirt one inch off the field of play. Its ridiculous.

Mac (oaf seems unfair to me) was running full speed just to get to that foul ball as it’s tailing away. Even if you know the mound is there and the ground below you is gonna change, you can’t take your eye off ball to look for it or chop up your steps and slow down. Defy anyone to make that play on dead run without full concentration on the ball.
I don’t think he has to make the play. Come in at a reasonable speed, look for the mound, and if he doesn’t make the play, live to fight another day. He’s up from AAA because of his bat. We don’t need him going full steam-train on that play. Barry Bonds never slammed into walls.
