Finally….

I got another Trump HOF Donor email and it, in itself, should be put in the HOF for its epic outrageous stupidity, but I’m not going to post it (as pathetic as he and it is).

Because today is Opening Day. We’ve crawled through 4 months and 4 miles of shit to get here –a day that will very likely result in a complete and utter shellacking.

But fuck it, who cares….

this is not an opening day. this is a bad game mid-season when the Giants are struggling to stay at 500 and then make incremental progress and they fuck up. Maybe manana. This is the strangest season and it’s just started.

Been a looong time since I watched an MLB game…and it had to be E$PN with that stupendously stoopid interview of the A-Ho’s 3rd sacker. Okay, so the Giants as currently posted are an assembly of spare parts. And they paid Pence how much? Money down the drain. Pablo looked locked in on his sac-fly, but his bat is not yet up to speed. Probably still something in the tank.

This one, though, may be on Kapler and the Train-Bust, as he pinch-hit Solano for Crawdaddy. ESPN commentators did get that right as the veteran presence was totally lacking in the infield and that run-down in particular was a muddling mess.

Rogers had a case of the yips. I do expect more out of him. Ditto Menez. He looked okay till he lost concentration and flipped that freebee to Kike. Dany Jimenez, the Rule-5 guy ,got umped about three times in his testing inning. Cueto was a study until at around 60 pitches he basically ran outta gas. Smyly impressed. He’s a flexible fixture between longman and starter roles. Veteran savvy. Doesn’t readily wilt. At the trading deadline SF should play it close to the vest with him. Demand quality if he goes.

Dubon looked good at short, making one nice play. Dickerson ditto with his LF snag. Heineman might could hit, but its clear that he was a career minor-leaguer. Yaz looks like a gem. Four more of him and this could be a pretty good team. Joe McCarthy? Send him back to Wisconsin. The McCarthy-Army hearings are over. His boo-boo attempting a R.F. sliding catch indicates he’s running on a bad case of nerves. You gotta be good at something.

But did we really expect anything else? Good part was that we went Mano a Mano with a team that was supposed to sink us 8-1 –for 6 1/3 innings. No shame in that. Is Smardj ready yet? Doubtful, as the LaBumbos are truly loaded for bear and he has gone through a rough spring. Slater or Dubon in the outfield tomorrow. Flores did not much impress me at third. His mind did not quite seem in high gear. Maybe his stats with the Snakes were in some fair part due to having some fairly decent hitters around him.

  Excellent recap. Felt like I watched it. Caught a couple of batters on the radio after attending a BBQ at an old friend’s house near Cache Creek Casino–including the buggered rundown, which Flem called out immediately.
  Shot an 87 today at Wild Wings in Woodland. (9 hole track). Beat my friend who can really play by 2 strokes.
  Did I mention his left wrist is in a cast? He shot a legit 89 with this left hand in a freaking cast, swinging the club like Butch Goring hitting a slap shot. Unreal.
