Trade Deadline Approaching
Big series starting tonight, one in which I have no feeling whatsoever—my gut is traditionally inclined to expect a trip to the woodshed but this has been a weird year so I’m cool to watch it unfold….
Trade deadline is next week. I am on record as saying nothing significant will happen for obvious reasons already stated. But it’s still fun to kick around trade ideas so where do you guys stand on this one:
Cueto and Flores for Clint Frazier. I really don’t think the Yanks would do this but they have been decimated by injuries and both Cueto and Flores could be a huge boost to their post season run. For our part we get rid of Cueto’s salary in 2021 and the buyout. If they didn’t offer Frazier would you take Andujar? I probably would just to get another future piece although I’m not a biug Andujar fan. Still, getting rid of that Cueto contract would be nice.
I’d also be just as happy to watch him pitch the rest of the season. He’s been very good and entertaining and I put a high price tag on that this season. (same feelings about Wilmet, btw).
Ouch. This now hurts more than I realized. Fucking kick this guy OUT of fan base immediately.
A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
OK I don’t get the argument visitors have any advantage. Home team with the hammer of last ups always does imo.
Giants can tie this up with a bunt and a sac fly and play on. Most teams as visitors don’t do that I don’t think though batting order does make a difference.

mm I don’t get it man. It’s always going to be incumbent on away team to score in extras. If they don’t they are going to lose eventually.
Under this format both have an equal chance to do damage. The home team can always play for a bigger inning if they need to, so that’s an advantage too, no?

Cueto gets a little redemption for the early games the pen gave up for him.
Loo, now how’m I sposta concentrate with those bubbles staring me in the face? It may be only seven games, but this crazy bunch is reminding me of the Miracle Mets. Even this much is totally against the odds. Some of the Vegas oddsmakers must be about to pull their hair oust.
Pull one out tomorrow and it’s .500 baseball for a team which just over a week ago was at 8-16. Even during the unmentioned “closer” days the hitters just kept coming on back. How many times has this team rallied from behind in this now 31 game season?
