A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Rough Night For Giants, Ex-Giant

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on April 13, 2021

We all know Bumgarner saves his best performances for the post season but, uh, he’s starting to let himself go a little in the regular season. WOW. He’s pitched 55.1 innings for the D-backs and he’s given up 47 earned runs. He’s turned into the Dodgers version of Jason Schmidt. Can you imagine what those fans must think of him? Does Arizona have fans that would care enough to be mad about this? Boston certainly did when it came to our beloved Panda.

Not much to say about last night’s game except the team batting average is down to .192. I continue to stare at the aged, ominous POTD and worry that maybe it was more predictive of ALL of our 2021 bats…..

How is it when Krukow says, well he’s taking advantage of the open base, when you walk a guy to put 2 runners in scoring position and then face à lefty in Yaz?

Well it worked but it’s still backwards thinking..

32 pitches–seven to Yaz. Lot’s of break, different degrees on his 4-seamers. Must be tough to pick up, other than fouling them off.

WOW. Some classic Jake-Breaks on that four-seamer exclusively. Looks like we got a closer. Batters woke up tonight too. They seem to have gone tater Totten.

Hella W. McGee is a trip.
flemming did nice job spreading Giants knowledge and love. Mendoza seems quite taken with team and yard too. Maybe Giants show up little more often on national networks.

After being down four-zip going into the bottom of the first, I never expected yet another one-run nail-biter. Is this team gonna get any respect? Reds came into SF hotter than a 3-dollar pistol on Saturday night. Now the teams are even-steven in the series and a Buster-happy ex-Red goes for us tomorrow.

Jake-Breaks are simply amazing in the trajectory angles of their drop and in speed drop-off as well as the dip. He can go from only an 8-degree to over 20 from one pitch to the next. That’s why he is effective with only that single pitch. Big-Rig.
