Giants continue not to hit –non Poseys went 3-27 with one near miss by Ruf. One of those 3 was double by GD who also walked. Depending on what’s up with Crawford, may have week to stick around. Dubon is only backup to SS, and with no Yaz OF thinner.
Webb had another good game but yeow what a terrible time for mistake to light hitting Profar. Had their chances; Darvish was tough and pen cleaned up after him. Gausman to go Sunday.
Saw a beat tweet about a Gausman groin injury. Wtf? Yet still supposed to start manana.
My predictions:

california might have some input in Derby. Baffert’s Medina Spirit is running, so is Hot Rod Charlie ridden by Flavien Prat leading jockey at Santa Anita. Joel Rosario is aboard Rock Your World and others riding from California on longshots include Mike Smith and Umberto Rispoli and recently relocated to East Drayden Van Dyke.
Where I used to work, store next door run by single Mom with 2 kids was dedicated to hats and accessories. Run up to Derby Day was always big event for her and those hosting parties bought something new and different every year, for which she had to have stock on hand. Not sure how well she has survived but shop is still open.

Olberman is wrong — he is very much a Major League umpire, an arrogant asshole who, after he blows a call, shows he’s the boss by tripling down on his mistake. Whatever improvements the umps have made collectively in the ball and strike calling, there’s only so far it will go.

When you listen to Shawn Estes, how often do you think of him stepping off of second base and getting tagged out in a crucial moment in the playoffs? I still think of it sometimes when I see him on TV, but not as much as I used to.
He seriously injured himself running to 3B, too, didn’t he? But over it all, I’ll remember a game he won, pitching a shutout into the 9th one night vs the Rockies. We had seats down the 1B line. When Dusty walked out to get him the large Candlestick crowd lauded him well. My six year old son went wild. July 4th fireworks night, too.

My memory of that play is he didn’t slide for some reason, stopped awkwardly on the bag, and then stepped off it. I haven’t seen the play in 20 years, though.

Somehow it didn’t happen (yet.) I was (am) expecting it.
It seems like a very long time ago I went to about 10 Giants games in a row that they won. The streak got broken when Bochy trotted out a complete scrubini lineup on a Saturday afternoon. Gillaspie batted third that day, lulz. I saw the lineup and knew the steak was over.
I think they then lost about 4 games in a row I went to. This very well could have been that ‘16 season where they were hot in the first half and struggled in the second half of the season, and scraped into the playoffs.
I used to go to a lot of games when I was younger.
I used to get in a few A’s games every season, too.
And several Cal League minor league games. I’ve got to get my game-going mojo back!!
