That was a crazy game against a terrible team but you know what? Those guys are still major leaguers and we still came out with a win.
When you’re this many games over .500 you need some wins like this one.

A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
As I mentioned last night, it pays to be good AND lucky. Last night we got lucky (multiple errors by the snakes).
Loved Mac’s moniker for the Snakes: EBacks.
Let’s sweep these bitches tonight.
If somebody slides head-first into firstbase, at least I sort of understand their thought process: they’re diving towards the bag in an act of desperation that may or may not be ill-advised. But if someone slides FEET-first into firstbase, then I don’t really get the thought process on that.
Seems like risking an injury with no noticeable advantage gained.
My guess is it happens in the moment with little to no thought/planning on how to slide…
The only reason would be to avoid a collision, but not sure if that played a part. Insane practice tho.
Again, I think in situations like that the slide is pure reaction…
It’s just something that never ever ever crossed my mind running to the bag.
It’s not his first dive head first with the Giants and I’m sure he did it with the Cubs, he just plays with a lot of emotions.New team, maybe just trying to Jack up his teammates even more, and they feed off of that.But yes I’m sure Kap might say :You can’t help the club from the tub speech”
We have more crazy wins than I can ever remember a Giants team having in one season. Was gone on a trip this weekend and missed the craziness in Mil. Watching the YouTube highlights felt like some playoff atmosphere with packed crowds. Did it play that way live on tv???
Very much so. The stands were packed and the crowd was very into the games.

Watching it on replay only thing I can think is that KB (do we have a nickname yet???) thought maybe a wild throw was coming from 2b after his botch and was trying to avoid a possible collision. Isnt he turning his head away from the first baseman as he slides feet first???

Yeah, that’s what I initially thought but I haven’t seen the replay in a couple days. And Bryant did it earlier with the Giants. He really has to stop that.
Ok I have some info on Khris Bryant..
He did have a alias name on Cubs road games.( 5 years using it)
It was from the Sandlot ( gotta love that movie)
So his alias is the kid that played Hamilton Porter.

Man, that is so sad. Just not knowing what happened has to be so difficult to deal with. Weird story, the woman that went missing from Walnut Creek was my wife’s hairdresser. Her remains were found 10 months later in Joshua Tree. Some sort of mental breakdown they say.
There was another case in Roseville about 3 blocks from where we lived where a 56 year old woman disappeared from the Raley’s parking lot. Someone found her wallet and keys near the Starbuck’s, but no trace after 12 years.

On Longoria, and in relation to Snarkk’s comment, I trust management to make the right decision at the right time. A good friend of mine went to the Rivercat game Sunday and Longo was in the line-up. Made a play in the field where he had to fully jump and extend and also hit a HR. They will bring him up when ready and I think Slater is the short man out (RH bat), and he has an option.
Cueto would’ve been on schedule to start Saturday’s game, I wonder who we’ll get now.

Unca, the last starter to go 7 innings was Wood on . . . July 7 vs. the Cards. Webb (Aug. 1 vs. Astros) and Gausman (July 11 vs. Nats) got to the 7th but both couldn’t get an out.
