Without question the biggest series of the season. Disco kicks it off tonight followed by the *undecided* brothers Sat and Sun. To say I feel confident about winning this series would be a lie. But, this entire year has surprised me so why not one more surprise?

By the way I didn’t have time to put this in the main thread but I have come up with a new nickname for Logan Webb. I ran it by San dawg And he gave it an enthusiastic two flaps up. I nominate that we now call him The Log Dog. Thoughts?

Yep…biggest series of the year, by far. Basically we’re playing the bums a one month season for the NL West title. Good article by Loo last night on why the Giants must win the West.
I am with you Flav. Not a lot of confidence going in, but this team has surprised me, and shocked the baseball world this year. Why stop now…shock the world again.

Really good to see college football back, with fans. Ohio St-Minnesota game was great, full house in the rain, lot of big scoring plays, close game well into second half. Ohio St. skill players at running back and wide receiver around the freshman QB got it done with long TDs, and I was amazed to see they come from everywhere—Texas Virginia and senior wideout Olave from near San Diego.
Good to be back to gambling on college. Ohio State just covered by a half pt luckily. Part of a parlay for me.

It’s kinda funny but i don’t feel any pressure for this series. I hope we step up of course and i think we will rise to the occasion but I hope the team plays loose and has some fun. I think most of the pressure is on stinking LA.

Casali and Webb seem good match. Casali has a great winning record for games he starts, winning pct. of something like .800. And yet, last time he got a hit in a game was August 21, 1-3. Since then 0-15.
Totally agree, Winder with 7:52. Giants were never supposed to be 99% assured of making playoffs, like LA and SD. Enough vets around to keep everyone even keel steady and playing hard every day.
Bryant continues to contribute, and little help from platoon guys like Slater Ruf and Thairo adds to success of mix.

Hey last minute surprise for a belated birthday for me from my Son&Daughter his wife and her fiancé are taking me to the Giants game tonight!
I’m STOKED! I’ve been cooped up to long with my hip replacement/covid crap etc.They secured 5 seats in Section 145 handicap near triples alley I believe?(thanks kids lol but supposedly easy access with an elevator as I’m still moving like a slug) so if any Flappers are going I’ll buy you a cold one if we hook up
And yes we will still be in 1st place after tonight after “The Price is Wrong” when we kick his and the Bums asses!! Should be a rocking good time with a packed house are close, I know Saturday’s game is sold out, only takes the Dodgers and Giants rivalry to get the juices flowing and a pennant race to the end!!

If the teams involved were only the teams with the best record in baseball on Sept 3rd…has there ever ben a weaker team with risp than this team? Can’t imagine how if there was one. If i’m 3rd base coach i am sending EVERY runner on 2nd if a single. That is so F**ing frustrating.
