Hey, I’m glad he’s back. A few hiccups aside, he’s had a very good year. He and Doval make for a hard-throwing lefty-righty tandem.
The Dodgers still have the best overall lineup in the league but I guess sometimes that doesn’t matter.
It would be interesting to see how many times we used the Sac. revolving door this year. I can’t remember a team with so many movable parts.
I was thinking about that the other day, so I checked BBRef to see how many players the Giants have used this season and the total, IIRC, was 54. I expected a higher number. I then checked the bums, and their number was in the 60s. The door in Sactown swung constantly, all year long, but most of the players shooting up and down the road in the team towncars were familiar and productive. Farhan and his people built a 54-man active roster. Amazing.
Not everyone panned out, of course. James Sherfy pitched ten innings for SF and four for the bums this year.
That is interesting. I know if a player had options they were back and forth multiple times.

Wow! I signed-up to compete,with my dog months ago, so was out doing that today. We had a blast.
I was able to catch the first four innings on radio and then missed the rest (cannot have your phone on you during the competition). What a fucking exciting moment to get to my phone and see that we were NL DIVISION CHAMPS!
