A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Another W

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on August 16, 2022

Dudes on the radio trying to draw a link from when we were really rolling in 2021 to the run they’re on now. Hey, I love the wins but be realistic. We’re beating up on the worst teams in the league. Keep it going but don’t start believing this is 2021. I’m happy. Sad for Bum, but happy.

FInished BCS last night. Epic. Nice closure on BB and the BCS story line.

This was the Bummie that was on the Giants a couple years ago. He could gut his way through the order a couple times, but folks started crushing shit off him the later the game got.

Great Giant and all, but I’m soo glad we didn’t write that check.

Kuip was talking this AM on KNBR and wishing Bum could come back for a final swan song with the Giants. Didn’t he already do that? I feel like we knew he was leaving and everyone got to say goodbye. I personally have no interest in watching him come back and get lit up.

Nope. Not interested. he can do the one-day-contract thing when he’s ready to hang up the spikes.

Bum had a million miles on that arm when he left the Giants.
It was the right move to let him go.
    If the Giants hitters are rocking a pitcher, that’s a pitcher I don’t want…

I’m sure the 49ers are rethinking that 1 day retirement contract for Frank Gore after dragging a nude woman by her hair across the floor in Vegas..

Oooops. First Beast Mode, and now this. I thought what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

I have the final two episodes of Saul on the DVR that I haven’t watched yet. There were a lot of surprises in the final season of Saul.
    No spoilers, anyone!

This is the best line up in a while. Hopefully they can stay hot!
I am hoping I continue to be sorry for disparaging Bart. He has been terrific since coming back from the minors!

How many of those hitters in that lineup will return next season? If it’s only 4-5…

    • James's avatar James said, on August 16, 2022 at 6:48 pm

That does look like a competitive line up all of a sudden. Davis, Slater, Gonzalez, and LaStella on the bench ain’t bad. Belt and Crawford are still not right, though . . .

  10. snarkk's avatar snarkk said, on August 16, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Belt is compromised due to his knee.
Flemm admitted as much this morning on the FM sports station 95.7…

Yep, when he’s injured he doesn’t hit. There’s a track record of that.

  11. James's avatar James said, on August 16, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Belt has been my favorite player for a decade. Crawford is an all time Giant. With all of the shit that’s gone down this year, those two are at the top of the culpability list.

  15. alleykat69's avatar alleykat69 said, on August 16, 2022 at 8:54 pm

The usual common theme a leadoff double followed by stick up their asses for 3 straight no RISP going to score..

And yes Junis pitched great like Wood&Cobb have and don’t deserve this BS offense being offensive..

  16. djloo27's avatar djloo27 said, on August 16, 2022 at 9:27 pm

So according to Krukow’s endless babbling, Longoria’s AB was doomed from the blown call on the first pitch…

wow. Finally some power. Great game, in the end.

He’s much younger, hits with much more power, but Thairo’s confident two-strike AB put me in mind of the great ice-water-in-his-veins Giant Scutaro.
