A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Annihilation in Milwaukee

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 27, 2023

Don’t look now bitches, but at 8-2 for our last 10 we are the hottest team in the league. I missed a lot of the game, did Milwaukee really lead off Darin Ruf? Could they possibly be that bad?

Great match up today with Webby vs Burnsey

Salute this weekend to all men and women veterans who have and are serving our country with pride, dignity and honor.

Nice for Giants to climb above .500. Pitching has been much steadier and offense getting more consistent contributions throughout lineup during 9-2 run. Great to see Hallberg 6 for 6 last night in sending runners home on singles and doubles when he could have held runner at third.

Webb’s numbers deceiving. 3-5 record but 7 quality starts in 10 games. Keep momentum rolling.

Ruf actually owns Wood batting .471 career was 1-3 and a walk and scored their short lived lead 1-0 scoring in the 1st.Has a.294 BA with Brewers so far, and the only guy with a higher average in the LU was Miller at .324.So yeah Brewers really do stink, but fortunate they play in a weak ass division..
Yeah shoutout to Dean’s comment:Thank you Salute to all men&woman and veterans serving in the military to keep are country proud and safe with dignity!Happy Memorial Weekend to everyone!

Slush column in Chron mentions Kap sticking Wisely in at 2b with Estrada nursing sore wrist last night, instead of Schmitt with Craw sitting out second game in a row. hmmnn
Kap pushing right buttons lately; left Wood in long enough to get the W even if he walked guy with 10-1 lead. Wood did have nice stretch after first, retired I think 10 in a row.

Beck’s best outing by far. Hope Adames is OK, yikes.

Find it pretty funny that now the Giants look pretty good dumping Correia /Sanchez and watching the Mets briefly having both and it didn’t work out there either. But hey Mets us SF Giants fan thank you for Davis&Conforto and of course always Mr.Ed..

Can the Giants seek a special dispensation to play all their remaining games in MN and Mil??!?

The thing to note about Mighty Casey is that he is the right hitter at the right time. If it were couple years ago before the rules changes, the Giants org may have messed him up trying to turn him into a slugger and swing for the fences every at bay. His talent as we have seen is that he can put the ball in play everywhere. Plays perfectly for old time baseball that hopefully we are seeing a rebirth in the NL even with a DH…

Not mentioned in the article from a couple days ago: In a 21-season career, Bartolo Colon drew his lone walk in his 19th year and 290th plate appearance. Why did he mess with perfection?

Yeah looks like they’re fading Craw out with the way Schmitt is playing and Davis manning 3rd . 3 straight off games for Craw make me wonder some, not even a DH role against the RH pitcher Burnes instead Sabol will DH..

I sipped my first cup of coffee this a.m. flipping from news show to news show. Glen Kuiper’s fuckup arose. Of course, none of those asswipes knew anything substantive about the A’s or Wisconsin accents, although one guy did interview the spokes person for the negro leagues hof, who defended G Kuip. I’m still glad he’s gone because he’s inept, but it did occur to me that I’ve overlooked one of GKuip’s heroic achievements: he spent many years announcing without laughing beside that dimwit Ray Fosse.

Giants need to bang in some runs, not waste this very good performance so far by Webb — he’s really got that sinker working…

Thank you Mitch Haniger that was a blast to dead Center!
He’s heating up and when they get Joc back that could be a lethal order!
Good for Webb( no jinks I hope) he can still get a win and not Cained!

Seems to me that Dovall with his stuff should dispense with a lot of hitters a lot easier than he typically does…

    Nice series win !
Doval threw 29 pitches to get 4 guys out. Too many for a closer.
Doval needs some sort of off speed pitch, even if it’s crappy one just to show it — it’ll make batters screw themselves into the ground instead of just defensive hacks to keep fouling off until they get something over the plate to square up. Also, too many 95 mph sliders is not good for keeping him away from a TJ injury…

Good to see Haniger warming up at the plate.
If he gets a power bat in gear, this offense could be pretty darn good…

Just have to enjoy the crazy wave of maddening times with Doval! All Closer’s go thru it , but he’s one of the very best out there.Hell 14/15 in Saves and an ERA under 2 nothing to sneeze about.
No one better in the clutch.
Man it sure would great to get the Sweep 🧹 tomorrow and not settle to use a white flag LU, but either way they got the series win and it’s been a hell of a good road trip!!!

At 27-25 Giants and Mets tied for last 2 NL WC spots.
SF now 8-2 vs. NL Central without having played either Reds or Cubs who both suck. Pirates come in next homestand.

Hey Dean, just read the Giants are the only team in the majors to not have a guy thrown out at the plate this season.
