Walk Off Bomb
Look, the Pirates aren’t very good. They are probably even worse than their 13-14 record. And we got shut down by a complete scrap heap nobody. But a win is a win. And man, that crowd was ROCKIN’ after Bailey hit that bomb.
Day 3 of the draft. Finally. Now is when Lynch and Shanny cook.
and a Happy 49th to this guy

Ah, thanks for that one Flav. His last 2 years w Giants 2007/08 were Bochy’s first here and Bonds last was 2007. No one else could hit and Giants were at bottom NL for runs scored etc. Boch won 71 and then 72, but had genesis of pitching turnaround of pennant winning years w Cain Lincecum Sanchez Zito and Wilson and Romo.
Lot of familiar names there good and bad (Bowker, Nate, Vizquel) but those were also 2 great seasons for always entertaining Fred Lewis.
Pete Happy!
no NOLA this year?
Missing the 1st weekend, but we’re headed down Monday night. Can’t wait.
Nice.
Even teams that lose 100 are going to win 60 times. A’s are now 3-2 vs. Yanks and Orioles after winning 3-2 at Camden last night. Stripling (!) held O’s to 2 runs in 5 2/3 and they pinned blown save on Kimbrel by tying game top 9th, then won it in 10th.
AZ and Pads both lost and are under .500 like Giants. AZ starter Zac Gallen pulled himself off mound in 6th after feeling discomfort in hamstring.
Feeling better after day 2 of the draft. Puni is a solid guy who can play all 5 line spots. He’ll get a good look as Williams backup. Green at slot CB is gonna work out fine. He has gotten markedly better every year he plays.
A walk off bomb is always awesome!!
how many times did the pirates load the bases? At least twice. They’re not very good. And that ninth inning DP was a divine gift. But a walk off drowns out all doubt.
post game, Bailey talked about how hard it is to throw from home to first since the rule change that gives the runner more right to the basepath. The former rule was ok. Fun to see a guy occasionally pegged out. Talk about old school. But I think it actually was safer then. Last night Wilmer just missed getting blasted by an all out runner.
What rule change? The catcher should have a clear throw to the inside of the foul line. That throw was through the runner. Hell of a play by Wilmer.
Jeezus Chuck Google it.
Under the new rule the runner is entitled to the entire baseline, grass to grass. No more restriction to the outer half of the dirt.

I wanted the Niners to sign Luke McCaffrey real bad. SD drafted Brendan Rice. Don’t know if Gore’s kid got drafted.
Kinda tells you how old we are getting.
OKC goes up 3-0 on the Pelicans. I think the Kings would have given OKC a more competitive series, but the Kings couldn’t handle the Pelicans this season. Sometimes sports is just about how certain teams match up against certain other teams.
Tough night fielding for Wilmer.
Bangs out an RBI double tho.
Rough inning but made up for it w bat.
Inquiry on Mr. Ed…
Lucky that Wilmer’s fuckups didn’t amount to anything more than reminders. Meanwhile, Soler hit a drive to the edge of the track.
Tough one for Lee but hard right over your head and he makes it look easy.
Well now were good and fucked…
Wow. The Giants are paying millions of dollars to guys who just can’t hit.
Bad twin.
And fucking Mr. fucking Rogers is still on the payroll.
Fuck ’em both. Taylor. Tyler. Twaddle.
Bout time soler eclipse.
wow. A huge meaningful HR from Soler. Oil beef hooked.
Soler getting us back into this thing.
Is that Soler’s first hit with a RISP?
I think it;s his first hit.
Making this interesting.
Lets go Late Night.
Wade until dark…
Yastrzems-K…
Waste of a good Hicks start.
Chapman a disappointment so far offensively.
The important thing is that they keep Slater forever and bat him and his .103 average at lead-off as much as possible…
While Ramos hits .303 BA and .983 OPS toils away in Sacto.
