Phillies Phinished Phucking Up?
Nice to see the Phillies wake up a little and watching Kershaw get shoved around is always a tasty treat. Sad to see the Yankees as I know it made Georgie Boy bummed for yet another year. But what do I know, maybe they don’t have years in heaven.
I’m cutting the Niners D some slack on Stafford carving them up. Stafford is one of the best QB’s of his generation and he had multiple weapons racing all over the field all night. What I’m worried about is that at this point in their careers Baker is probably better than Stafford right now. And I have no idea how we are going to run on the Tampa D. Of course, we’ve run on no one so far so…..

Yes. Man M’s blew chance to put Tigers away after jumping to early lead and now have to face Skubal on Friday. Tigers made smart move signing Gleyber Torres away from Yanks. Wonder if Posey would be interested in him as FA. Might not improve 2b D much but he can hit.
I am really rooting for Seattle to pull this one out. And I even like the Tigers too.
MLBTR had story on FA 2b, and class is weak overall. I don’t see how you improve that spot much unless you sacrifice offense for defense first guy. Schmitt is cheap, learning angles of position and can hit some. My guess is him and Koss stay, plus Bailey and Smith (Eldridge to Sac at start of season) and Posey spends more time and $$ on pitching and corner OF.
agree. Hope he spends freely. Also I can imagine Posey snd Hundley selecting a good backup C. But I’m getting ahead of things there.
Colby sucks, puni idk. Getting Kittle back should help running game too. Minus all the projected starting wideouts (none of whom are practicing along with Purdy), no D will let McC run wild.
Fair points on Saleh vs. smarts of McVay and Stafford, but Collins play at 1 yard line saved his D from allowing 4th Rams TD in 3 quarters. Speculation across board on who/what to give up to get D line help and when guys they want become available
