A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Goodbye Detroit!

Nice to see the Mariners advance. They are an easy team to like and to root for to make it past Toronto. I don’t really care who faces LA but probably am rooting a little harder for the Brewers tonight.

Pitching by both teams last night was fantastic. Skubal blew 101 heat right by Raleigh twice for Ks before he left. Cubs have held Brewers to 3 runs total in last 2 games. Phils held Ohtani to 1-18 with 9 Ks and Dogs collectively to .557 OPS in 4 games. Dogs pitchers not named Opie had ERA of 2.50 vs. Turner Schwarber Harper Realmuto. Just what it takes to win at this level.

Clueless to pull Kirby in the 6th. With 1st base open, walk Carpenter.

But no, they have to pray to the God of the matchup and pull your guys who’s dealing.

Brewers Mariners would be a good WS. Though I got nothing against the Jays. Vlad jr may be on a tear.

has Raleigh used those torpedo bats all season?

Only Dogs scored more runs in NL than MIL. Only Padres gave up fewer runs. After 2nd inning yesterday Cubs never scored again and were held to 4 hits. Closer got 6 outs. Brewers also team that let Adames walk after 3 full seasons where he hit 83 bombs and 90 doubles. they do it their way…hope they have at least 4 more Ws in them.

I wonder if the Blue Jay pitcher Speier is related to Chris Speier. A grandson maybe?

The two AL teams seem lesser than the two NL teams,

The Phillies were the best chance to knock off the Dodgers, IMO. But the Phillies choked.

AI tells me that Raleigh uses the torpedo bat from the left side only. Regular bat RH. Still, it’s a helluva proof.
