A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Sometimes you just have to take a walk…..

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on September 5, 2010

That’s what I did after Gibbons hit that bomb. Not a long walk, just down the driveway and up the street and back. Apparently that walk worked wonders. Cain settled down and we go on to hit 4 bombs to win the game. There are almost no words to describe last night’s win. Either you saw it or you didn’t and I have never seen a game like that–that one was an original. Uribe has to be POTG but if was ever to be a shared last night was the night—Posey, Renteria, Burrell, Ross and Uribe. And you have to give Cain huge props for settling down after giving up that bomb to the ridiculous Gibbons…….

Torre stubbornly using Broxton again. Baha. Classic look of defeat on Broxton’s face after Uribe’s hit. Broken and beaten….

Who loses 9 games in a row at this time of year and can honestly maintain the confidence to actually believe they can win their division?

There is no team above us. The only thing that is stopping us from steamrolling this division is proper execution. That, and God hating us when Zito pitches……..

Torres and Huff totaly carried the team from May through July. I think they’ll both rebound. Good thing now is the team has enough to withstand their slumps.

Great close up shot of Lasorda snarffing down a huge carton of lemon ice cream / sherbert, bullshitting with his mouth full. Only about 2000 calories. I tell ya’, when he’s gone, it won’t be the same without that friggin SOB in the stands…

Why doesn’t Torres try a drag bunt to get on? He’s scuffling, try something different for Kreissakes…

It’s been enough years now, that Lasorda doesn’t bother me much anymore. The Dodgers have become a mediocre organization. He’s a reminder, both good and bad, for their organization of good times and how long they’ve been in a rut since then.

What do you do with an elephant with three balls? Walk him and pitch to the rhino.

That joke works great with 6 yo’s. In other words, should be a big hit here.

  46. stixwiz's avatar stixwiz said, on September 5, 2010 at 7:59 pm

Nice symmetry to the numbers. Sanchez goes double figures in wins with his tenth. For ten-pitch (8 strike) Wilson its his 40th Save. Sanchez and Kuroda end the game with identical ERAs at 3.39. But Drrrrrty pitches for the Giants and has gone 10-8. Kuroda’s with the LaBumbos so he’s 10-12. Collectively that makes the two of em 20-20. Nice to be on the upside of this affair.

“They have two opportunities to skip a Bumgarner start. Unless they do that, the plan is probably to shut him down for the post season, meaning you’d get the Zitster.”

WTF are you talking about? If they went Zitshit over Bum there would be a goddamn riot. If Zito continues his horrendous slide, no way they could say with a straight face that putting him in the rotation gives them the best chance of winning. Any respectable and true Giant fan would call for Sabean’s immediate departure. Even you, sir. Even you.

    • Michael's avatar Michael said, on September 5, 2010 at 8:34 pm

Listen up, idiot. I’m giving you the scenario. You are not going to get Bumgarner in the postseason unless they cut his innings now.I’m the LAST guy wanting Zitfuck. As usual, I’m just iving you fuckshits some info. Now shut your cupcake hole and pay attention,Birtherfuck.

Padilla/Latos tomorrow. San Diego loses that and you can capitalize the “T” in trouble for the Pads…

  53. Del Mar Dennis's avatar delmardennis said, on September 5, 2010 at 9:02 pm

Zito/Bumgarner post-season. Sabean chooses the former, and you can capitalize the “F” in fired for Sabean.

And I don’t wan’t to hear about any shit that they’re thinking about Madison’s health and future with the ball club. If by extending him an extra 40 innings or so in the post-season would cause him to injure himself thus requiring Tommy John surgery BUT would also guarantee us winning a WS, they’d be on the phone right now making him an appt. with Dr. James Andrews.

  55. Michael's avatar Michael said, on September 5, 2010 at 9:12 pm

Sanchez magnificent, Pablo on the money, Uribe again, Fontenot laying out, Wilson so focused. So many good things to this game. But what I liked was the sense that everyone has found their role going forward, particularly the late additions. Winning help people do that. But I give Boche a lot of credit; he is maximizing the talent, and minimizing exposure of the negatives.
