A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Game Time Approach-eth

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on September 28, 2010

Tonight’s AZ line up is a joke— we should destroy them. I took the Giants at -210 because i thought it was a lock for them to win their 89th game on THE BONEY ONE’S birthday, but now I’m pissed I didn’t give 1.5 at even money. We destroy them tonight, 9-1……

Kuiper’s HR call, gotta love it!

    • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 28, 2010 at 6:55 pm

totally. I love the KNBR intro to the Kuip show at 7:30am, they set his HR call to opera. Totally freaking classic if you haven’t heard it……

That’s like when Dennis Miller was on Monday Night Football during that period and one time during a chat with the anchors he said something like ” He kinda reminds me of Joey Montana”.
    That was just weird

    • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 28, 2010 at 6:58 pm

fuck that, “Joey” is a name that pre-disposes someone to failure later in life. Name me one Joey who kicked ass on the rest of us. “Bobby?”. he wins at everything…….

The reverse of that would be Gowdy’s perplexing “Tom” Agee in the ’69 WS.

It’s not exactly Ewing goaltending the first 5 shots in the NCAA final.

  13. stixwiz's avatar stixwiz said, on September 28, 2010 at 7:28 pm

Spotty control inning by Sanchez. Butterflies? Hope he is past it by the second. Some stickwork by Giants bats may help calm him down and get back into his drrrrrrty groove.

  14. TellItGoodbye's avatar TellItGoodbye said, on September 28, 2010 at 7:30 pm

Safe to say … this is the easiest assignment Giants’ bats will have the rest of the season? This guy’s numbers are awful. Somewhat better, especially controlwise, this month. But still ….

  26. TellItGoodbye's avatar TellItGoodbye said, on September 28, 2010 at 7:54 pm

Numbers say Lopez will send up quite a few hittable pitches, and 1 or 2 will be dingerworthy. Could just be a question of how many guys are on base when it happens.

  27. Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 28, 2010 at 7:54 pm

totally. 1-0 can smoke my pole. We’re facing Rodrigo Lopez. This is in the bag. Dirrrrty is just jacked, he’ll chill or, as we saw, he’ll be yanked. But we will hit this guy, for a lot of runs…….
