What a confidence building game yesterday.

Not for the Giants, for me.

I’ll keep this fairly short. The only minor complaint was Zito. Man, 2 and 2/3 innings??!! Not a surprise just a complaint. And *still* the Giants keep up the uncanny “Zito Win Streak” (cue the TWILIGHT ZONE theme).

And did I does or does I didn’t ask youse all to stop talking smack about Lincecum? I believe I does. Just as I earlier asked ya’ll SHHAADDUPP!!! On Pablo Sandoval!!!

And what’s with Pagan? I mean, I always liked him but he sure flexes his All-Star plays in a timely manner. Who the fuck does he think he is? A more talented Cody Ross? And the whole offense after 3 games. Looks like the ex-lax finally kicked in. I’m not sure giving Posey the proverbial 1^st base “day off” did anyone any good but at least it didn’t backfire.

Now–Men and ferrett– all this stuff you’ve heard about Giants not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the further post season, is a lot of horse dung. Giants traditionally love to fight. All real Giants love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Giants fans love a winner and will only reluctantly tolerate a loser. The Giants play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why The Giants have never really lost, and will never really lose a playoff series… because the very thought of losing is hateful to The Giants!!!!

Not saying it *can’t* happen cuz baseball is baseball. But the never say never attitude is so prevelant–it practically reeks.

That’s right, reeks…reeks? Wait a minute. I think I’m melting cheese in the oven. Hold on….

Okay, breakfast is ready. Anyway–CAIN vs. Lactose Intolerant

Cain didn’t have squat today. He will have to be much better than what we saw today – of course, that’s if we advance . . . this game isn’t over by a long shot. I wont be comfortable until we have that 6 run lead back.

    Too many pitches after 5 though (I think he ended up with 95 or 96). Regardless, he did do much better than his past outings against Cincy. Still, I would like to know why they kept him in there when it was obvious to all that he had shot his wad. Very lucky to strike out Hanigan, who rarely strikes out.

I’d like to know the rationale there for leaving Cain in. He was on fumes. It worked out, but dang, it looked nasty. Great 3-2 pitch he made on the black. Give the ump credit, he called it, and great throw by Posey for the DP. Dusty will catch hell for sending them, but that was the right call, you had to figure Hanigan was going to make contact. Hanigan had to swing at that, IMO…

I don;t know, Snarkk. yeah, he’s a contact hitter, but why give the out away? Cain is fading badly, hadn’t gotten an out, and even a K there isn’t the end of the world for Cincy. It’s one out, 2 on.

Thank the baseball Gods that we have the lead and don’t have to press, while contending with the light stanchion shadows. Cincy knows there park, so I would imagine the advantage is theirs.

I think Hanrahan missed a sign. He looked surprised when he realised posey was throwing and the runner was going. Rookie concentrating on his at bat and missed a sign is my guess.
