Hector will need to hit better than he did last year to compensate for his horrible defense.

How stoked are you if you’re a Dodgers fan? This group buys the team, they spend like any of us would (if it wasn’t our money), they pop a couple of new scoreboards in, Magic is all over the place….
I think they’ve found some new fans based on the roar of the crowd on lazy fly balls to the outfield. Reminds me of the fans at Coors field when they got their expansion team………

Just back from a quick Connecticut trip. I am too tired and cranky to be amused by this sloppy play and torturous pitching. Yet, we are only down one run. We can beat this wanker Josh “Not Samuel” Beckett. THESE ESPN ANNOUNCERS COULD NOT BE MORE SOPHOMORIC AND BLAND.

The only good thing I see so far is that Belt might not get fucked over this year by irrational managerial decisions, if he gets off to a slow start.

BTW, NY tabloids really turning on the Yankees. Front-running fans left the Stadium on Opening Day like it was the Apocalypse they were fleeing. First time both NY teams opened at home on same day. Listened to Mets game on WFAN on drive tonight. Man, Matt Harvey sure sounds like he is very, very good.

Outstanding AB for Timmeh. Knocks in a run and moves Mudbug to 3rd.

  11. PawlieKokonuts's avatar PawlieKokonuts said, on April 3, 2013 at 8:06 pm

It is absurd to say this, it is really juvenile, but I’d call this a pretty big win if we can pull this out. Big for the team and maybe bigger for Timmy.

    • Alleykat's avatar Alleykat said, on April 3, 2013 at 8:13 pm

It’s not juvenile at all Pawlie. Never a bad time to stick it to LA..

    • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on April 3, 2013 at 8:15 pm

taking 2 of 3 fro them in their house while their new fan base is screaming at the lazy fly balls to the outfield? No, that’s not juvenile, that would be fucking rad.

It’s only the 3rd inning, but I’ve already seen the Wave and a beach ball, plus hearing the loud roar on any Dodger hitting a fly ball. Is there anything else on the La La fans checklist?

Every time a Giants pitcher induces fly ball I cheer, but so do the dodger fans (via tv). No wonder the “beat LA” and “let’s go Giants” chants take over occasionally there in Ch. Ravine. The dodger fans are mesmerized by the crack of the bat and the little white ball. Most of them have never seen it before . . . .

Back in Santa Fe for our last night in New Mexico after a few days in Taos. Had some fantastic carne adovado (pork marinated in red chile sauce) earlier today in a place called Chimayo, a pilgrimage village, about 15 miles north of Santa Fe. Watched Timmeh earlier and Panda’s blast in a Spanish restaurant/bar here in Santa Fe over a shot of Patron and some nice Tapas plates. Now watching bottom of 9th in hotel and hoping Romo can shut it down. Could even hear KNBR broadcast in car radio in Santa Fe driving around — some static, but could hear the play by play pretty well…

Just perused the comments by LA fans on their team site. They have a bunch of posters who could be “firesabeannow”, except their moniker would be “firemattinglynow”. Three games into the season. I don’t know, maybe Donne 2 Trips really doesn’t know how to manage, I’m not paying that much attention to the Dodgers’ situation. But it looks like at least the fans are already on a Mattingly death watch….

  64. chipower9's avatar chipower9 said, on April 4, 2013 at 6:49 am

I know it is only 3 of 162, but between our boys winning two World Series titles in three years, and taking the opening series against Los Bumbinos in their yard (with their vaunted almost QUARTER BILLION payroll), well, let’s just say I am BASKING MY ASS OFF right now!

And while it wasn’t pretty, last I checked pretty doesn’t always translate to wins. The Giants played their brand of championship baseball and took the series in the Latrine. I had NO expectations for Tim. Would not have been surprised if he smoked ’em through seven innings, or got the hook by the 3rd inning, so I will take 5 rough innings with all the BBs, AND a W and just say that it is something on which to build.

The Dubs and Sharks also won yesterday…great day for Bay Area sports.

I am SO READY for tomorrow. It is going to be a magic day at 24 Willie Mays Plaza!
