Lastly.. Only the Giants lame medical staff would say Span is ok to bunt, but since he has a strained quad maybe he can but but not run????Idiots. He has been lousy so not like losing a great player..but really??? He can’t play because of a muscle strain but lets let him do a bunt and see if he can hurt himself sprinting to 1st if the bunt is bad. I’m sure that never happens!!

I read this last night and it resonated. Great point…..

I’m wondering what the great and all powerful and all-knowing Nunie has in store for us today. What bounty of gifts will he bestow? Finally we have someone exciting at the top of our lame line up……

Yeah good to see the other team making the costly errors.

I would love to see Giants play Nats in the NLCS. Dusty would make some major pitching F up move for sure. Thing is though, those guys can hit, and now they have Melancon. Plus, Harper hasn’t even hit worth a darn yet this season. If he gets hot, watch out…

Shit, bummie’ only 5 wins away from a hundy.

Bum has pitched like a HOFer. Cain’s last 2 1/2 seasons — he’s had consistent wins every two weeks at the payroll window…

Cain got “Cained” a lot early in his career; his career record could have been much better with decent run support.

      Yeah, those 2005-08 teams sucked…

Two solid Giant like wins back to back…still think we need a bullpen arm…a couple of other pieces would be even better…

It was written. That triple play was the absolute bottom. Everything up from there…

I missed the Span triple…just saw the replay and that was a good sinker he hit for the triple…

With Nunez on board, Span likely isn’t going to see the leadoff spot much anymore. A good thing for him, IMO…

This is setting up perfectly. We need to take care of business . . . Meanwhile the Sherpas are riding high (despite losing today) and have the Dodgers coming into Coors. I’m hoping that the Bums face plant here. They rarely help us out, so now’s the time Sherps – destroy the Dodgers.

    Yup.

    DIdn’t Cain go 9-17 with a 3.25 era?

Echoing all the congrats here for Matty. Should’ve got to 100 long ago. And three-fifths of the rotation had a hand in the W: Cain with the no-hit 5 IP, MadBum with the pinch-hit double, and Smarzj scoring as a pinch-runner, perhaps his biggest contribution all month.

Yeah. Those moves were pretty creative ~ and productive ~ on Bochy’s part.

A needed win for sure. I was excited about Spans signing. He just hasn’t played to the level I thought he would, and that’s always disappointing.
Funny story from my daughter. She is big Giants fan (of course ) and her roommate at ASU is too (lucky right!).Her friend said something on twitter about Strickland in 2014 playoffs. He blocked her even though she didn’t tag him. Apparently he looks for people saying thinks about him and blocks them. There is lots of comments about people he has randomly blocked. My daughter tweeted him directly a few days ago to please unblock her with the little pray hands emoji and about 2 minutes later he did! Nice

That’s funny. Stickland’s feed is a bunch of gun nut nonsense. I’ve seen reports about him blocking folks. Lame.

Midget shit stirrer Rosenthal claiming the club is interested in the Ray’s Matt Moore. W.T.F. Why did they give Booby the GM chair? No one would take Sabean’s call for years on end and then they took Booby’s call once? Once!

I read something I think after Saturday’s game, maybe it was a quote from Peavy, who Bochy took out after, what, 4 innings? He said something like Bruce is now managing like it’s the playoffs, because hey, it’s crunch time, last 2 months of the season, and it’s time for that, and the players will be fine with any “interesting” moves he makes because he knows best. I for one was really happy to see that. Managing like it’s the playoffs is what Bochy does best. Bruce has come under a bit more criticism this year up until now, it seems, but if he’s putting on his big playoff hat now, this is good news.
