Losses Pile up For Losing Losers

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on August 25, 2016

There’s not much to say after a 1-0 loss. I guess it could have been worse. 10-0? Getting shut out by some blistery fuck with herpes on his hand is one of the lower moments of the season.

Here is the bottomest of lines: We are 11-25 since the all star break. That’s not bad. It’s the worst record in all of baseball. When you are THE WORST over that stretch of time it’s silly to even consider winning a division title and hoping for a wild card spot is just a bad, desperate look.

If I saw some fight in the eyes of this team or their manager I’d probably manage to find some fight in my own. But I don’t see it and I’m tired of watching the same bullshit nearly night in and night out.

I’m not saying they aren’t trying. I’m saying that we may have wildly overestimated their abilities this year. San Dawg bought a 1977 RV with 2 other buddies yesterday. They spent the night drinking beers and voting on what to name it. That sounds like a significantly better way to spend an evening than what the rest of us did……

Part of me wants you to go back to Snarks 9:13 and fix the spelling of Jon. The other part of me thinks you should leave it as it is. Sometimes mistakes like that are beautiful. Kind of like in “Everbody Wants Some” where David Lee starts ad-libbing at the exact same time Eddie rings out a massive power chord. An obvious flub that Ted Templeman left in there, much to the delight of me and my friends.

Please tell me at least one of you will cue up Everybody Wants Some and listen for that bit I’m talking about. It’s when David Lee starts saying “I like the way the line runs down the back of the stocking. I’ve always liked those kind of high heels too. No, no, no. dont take them off, leave them on. Barber went 8 and 2 thirds with a no no vs. Tigers (1967) but had loaded bases on walks. Stu Miller came in and finished no hitter but an error allowed run to score, and Tigers won 2-1.

It made me a Matt “I Look Like George Clooney” Moore fan. Span’s catch near the end. Wow! I watched “Walter Mitty” just before I started watching the game. Then stopped. Just finished.
