Fatblo Sandofat
This Pablo Sandoval story at espn is unreal. He’s saying things like it’s the first time he’s ever said it. I’m not sure how he can even keep a straight face. If you haven’t read it, here’s the link:
This is the line that had me lol’ing:
“It has not been easy to wake up every single day at 6:30 in the morning to then head to the gym and start a full day of work. But you have to have that kind of dedication if you want to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.”
Man, I’m not sure how you survived getting up at 6:30 and “working a full day”. Jackass. If I’m a Boston fan I’d look at this guy and just want to puke.
…and the Red Sox have now dfa’d the dude.
Will be interesting to see if Fat Fuck Panda sticks to his guns on his rehab and comeback regiment. And while I am not totally down with a reunion (he did burn some bridges when he left SF), it also would not be a shock to me if Booby and Crew took a flyer on his fat ass.
his left-vision has only gotten worse. even reasonably fit he won’t be worth much now
left-eye vision. sorry
Lincecum, Cain, and Sandoval all hit a wall at age 30.
The Giants won 3 championships in such a tight window. An amazing accomplishment.
No on Pablo, yes on Arroyo…
I agree, snarkk. That ship (Pablo) has sailed…time to move on and get younger and more talented…
I hope he sails back to SF where he belongs:

If there’s still a big inventory of Panda hats sitting in a warehouse somewhere in South SF, look out for Baer wanting Panda back…
No shit…SMH…
It took a while, but Boston had the balls to cut Panda and eat rest of that bloated contract. Compare Giants ; can’t find balls to eat what’s left of Cains deal, when there is no baseball reason for him to continue to pitch for this team and take a spot from a youngster to audition for the future…
I hope they do bring Panda back. It would liven up the rest of this season. What else do we have to watch? But I don’t think it would ever happen because of the jackass things he said on his way out. How often do you see players go back to their former team after they diss everyone on the way out? I’m sure it happens but it certainly hasn’t happened in San Francisco.
Might as well bring Panda&Pagan back in this joke of a season.Atleast it would make the clubhouse more entertaining then a morgue..
Absolutely 100% bring him back!
Seaver returned to the Mets after an ugly break-up. Messier came back to the Rangers.
McCovey came back, but I wouldn’t know if there were hard feelings when he was traded.
Does anyone know or remember?
I became a Giants fan just after McCovey returned. I’d fallen in with a bunch of lifelong fanatics in Capitola, one thing led to another, etc. Those people were delighted that he was back. They loved him. I got to see him live once, 78 I think, pinch hitting. He popped out. The ball soared 500-600 feet straight up and still made it most of the way down the RF line before it landed in the glove.
Ahh the good old days . . . the thing about Panda is, baseball IS the only job he’s ever had. We signed him at 16. He may feel like this is the drudgery of his job, but hey, getting paid millions to stay in shape shouldn’t be this hard, skippy.
Snarkk, it was easier for the Red Sox to eat Sandoval’s contract because they had already fired the GM who signed him. No one’s going to eat Cain’s contract and take the fall.
Hey I didn’t ketch it all, but didn’t Sabean have a sit down Q/A with Baggs describing how the team just forgot how to win?
Sabes to earth 🌏 maybe you forgot how to go out and pickup good players in the off season to fill the inevitable role of the players you have now that all break down!!
Smoking a stogie and callling it were done, after getting Melonhead shows stupidity up and down the organization..
Flannery is just killing it on the MLB Network this week. Great stuff. You gotta love the Flan. You gotta wonder how much he’s missed in the Giants’ chemistry.
I miss him big time. We have tickets to see him and the Lunatic Fringe at the Crest in Sacto on Aug. 12. Can’t wait…
50 years ago today Eddie Mathews hit his 500th career homer against the Giants off Juan Marichal.
Exactly one year later Aaron also hit his 500th against the Giants off Mike McCormick.
In ’66, Tony Cloninger had his 2 GS/9 RBI game against SF as well.
These things drove me nuts as a kid…
I didn’t know Mathews hit it with the Astros.
I didn’t remember it that way either, Mac…
I think Cueto pitches well tonight. If he can’t dazzle these young Padres with all his hesitating twirls and leans then he might be done this year.
Fuck, even KNBR can’t get shit straight. I get an email from them that is titled “Morse Up, Cain Down.” But there is no mention of Morse coming up. Email talks about Bum coming back to the 25 and Cain going to the BP.
WTF…and does any of it really matter in a season that has already gone to hell in an handbasket multiple times this year…
Yank’s Pineda may need TJ surgery. Possible landing spot for Cueto?
Yankees may not stand for dreadlocks…
If the Yankees want to take a run at it this season, the Giants have everything they need except a good lefty reliever.
Cueto, Smardj, Belt, Nunie, Kontos and Strickland all make sense for them…
Yanks already are starting 1B prospect Garrett Cooper they just got from the Brewers.,
Loo is just producing the gold today!
Being on three WS Series championship teams, having one of the greatest games ever in a World Series as a hitter and making over a $100 million for his career and then having some of the greatest power meals in the history of eating…Panda has the last and fucking hardest laugh…
Cueto will be a Yank shortly…I have a feeling Belt is going along…
Cueto sure will look funny as a cue ball in NY..
Panda just needs a better spinmeister translator: Kellyanne Conwayito or Juan Spicer.
My fantasy GF in Waiting, with whom I was with today, at Starbucks, is learning to play harmonica. She just sent me a selfie. Decorum silences me.
if it’s a selfie of her playing the harmonica, you gotta post it. Hopefully this is an indication that she plays a mean skin flute. Hey now!
I can’t! What, you wanna doom my chances?!
I’ve never been in Starbuck’s…
Nunie back, batting 2nd.
They DH’d Nooner in his last start assignment, which means to me the hammy will blow out again. Place your bets gentleman, need to set the O/U..
30 minute first inning Yankee game. Zero runs scored. Bob Costas is the most irritating announcer I’ve ever listened to. He thinks every word out of his mouth is being fast tracked to Cooperstown……
Yankee announcer said Sox wound up paying Panda something like $650,000 per hit…
Waking up at 6:30am is a bitch.
How’s the new family doing?
Loo, Mays did hit 4 bombs vs. Braves at old County Stadium. Remember listening to that one as a kid.
Didn’t want to mention this but…the previous Year of the Rooster before 2005 would have been…1993.
Yup. I would’ve lost my little mind from that one, but my first season was 1963…
grandma bought me a scorebook and I did that game. Adcock hit 2 out for Braves iirc.
I know Pagan also hit 2 for SF. I doubt he ever did that again.
The greatest overshadowed performance of all time might’ve been Clyde Frazier’s game 7 vs. LA in ’70.
Definitely 36 points and something like 19 assists- 7 rebounds – 4 steals or thereabouts.
Reed’s entrance and 2 baskets is remembered more. I think Guy Rodgers had a pretty insane game while Wilt was scoring 100…
I’m wrong about Guy Rodgers – 20 assists but nothing crazy…
Loo–it was Al Attles (known more for his D), who went 8 for 8 from the floor.
And yes beside Pagan it was Aaron that blasted 2 out. There’s a nice story by Chris Haft about that day complete with comments from Braves and Giants including Mac and Cepeda.
I just looked at the Yankees roster and stats for the first time this season. I can see why they’d want Belt, but not sure what Cueto would add, except more gopher balls. What would they provide SF? Prospects?
Cueto getting back on the beam tonight. Trade value spinnith upward!
Loo, not nearly as hard as I was led to believe. Ya know something? I haven’t changed one diaper. We are doing well. We have a live in house keeper and midwife ($200 a month), along with Linh’s Grandma staying with us. So, I would be lying if I said that I’m stressed. Lulz. I actually have to tell the house keeper to take it easy. Also, there’s some sort of Vietnamese custom, where the mother doesn’t leave the house (except a visit to the doctor) for 2 months. Linh insists upon cooking for me and making sure I don’t do anything work like with the baby, except play with her. Unbelievable how much her, the grandmother, and house keeper does around here.
Plus, it was so inexpensive to have a baby here – less than 2 thousand dollars. Linh had a private room for 3 nights. Anyway, things are great.
Puig 2-out 3-run HR in the 9th to take the lead. That kind of season for the Dodgers.
None of the 3 pitches Pence swung at were strikes. would have a walk easy if he’d laid off them. Yuk.
But he had a great BP.
Blade,
Heartfelt congratulations. I’m happy for you. And your family. What a gift.
Same here, Blade – all the best…
You too. Love you brother.
Thanks Pawlie. Much different life now being responsible for other people.
Nunie had his foot on the bag all the time, the umps call this shitlike they’re catching a kid with his hand in cookie jar– no way the ump actually saw where his foot was…
belt pops out with Nunez on 2b 0 outs arrggh…didn’t look like pads had shift on either
Trade Nunie before he tweaks his hammy again. Does Pence remember you don’t have to swing at bad pitches?…
A good CFer catches that liner. Instead Span looks at it go past him for a double. How do we suck, let me count the ways…
Cueto sucks. He’s going to be a Giant till we’re all dead.
Crawford nonchalantef that grounder up the middle and almost botched the force out. Two guys almost get picked off in the second, and Cueto does get picked at first in that inning after his hit because he’s not paying attention off the bag. Gorkys plays a ball in the corner like a pinball and lets a guy score from first. There are reasons why this team is bad, they look like they are sleepwalking between cashing checks. Blow this fucker up. Meanwhile, at the brew pub, I recommend High Water Campfire Stout. Awesome brew at 6.5% abv…
Why do they have Cueto, with guys at first and second bags, swing at the first pitch for a strke; THEN on pitch two , he bunts to move them along, which he fails to do anyway. That is nutZ. If this beer weren’t so good, I’d throw the glass at this pub’s big screen…
Beer is done. So am I. If Giants win this, it will be a minor miracle. Adios …
Snarkk on the way home . . .
Obviously, much, much more going on than this Gamecast app is revealing to me versus what snarkk, et. al., are observing on television.
I hope snarkk doesn’t choke on a chicken wing or meatball while watching the game at his pub.
4 innings from Cueto, that oughta boost his trade value.
And now Pence half-asses a play as Spangenberg turns a single into a double.
I had dozed off. The whack of Buster’s bat woke me up. That’s one of his hardest-hit balls this season.
A 2-run lead. The bullpen only needs to get 6 outs.
This could be interesting.
Where the haters, now? Strichnine lookked pretty damned good there, and as was discussed recently, he’s overall had a good year.
Sorry if SanDiggity or any of you other guys dig the brown SD unis. No offense, but IMO, those are some of the all-time ugliest baseball duds.
I wouldn’t wear those if I was a monk..
Gotta love tha hats tho
Dink dunk doink
2010 redux, except there is nothing on the line except pride…
Whewwwwwwwww!
Halle-fucking-lujah…
Zumle the pen got 15 outs
I meant 6 more outs left in the game for them.
Reverse juju from last year. Get those rings ready. Dyson Airblade sure made it easy.
Only 4 games behind the Padres now. Baby steps. 🙂
The bullpen had one of its best games of the season, but I still hate them. 🙂
Gorkys with 4 hits against the Padres. No, that isn’t a typo.
Not going to Google it, but I bet the Gorkster has gone a month without 4 hits, maybe longer.
man sure is a strain to beat the freaking Pads. 14 hits 4 doubles a bomb clutch sac fly from Gomez Addams and it was still nail biter to the last pitch. Gorks looks better than Pence and his 3 hop throw to the plate. ouch.
And yes flav was right, Cueto said he has multiple blisters and Bochy said questionable for next start.
last time I saw my godson he had one of the Brown Pads jerseys on. wasn’t half bad. One of their other colors is that dark blue, which makes zero sense.
Cueto said himself he might miss his next 3 turns.
So I guess he’s a Giant forever now…
Beede might take Moore’s spot but otherwise 2018 rotation would be same as it is now. Hmmnn
Schulman column from yesterday quotes Evans, “I don’t want to underestimate the talent we have.”
What? Hasn’t that been Giants way under Sabes to overpay in the extreme? The core talent you have is what’s gotten you dead last.
