Bum Time?

Are we in panic mode yet on Bumgarner? At what point do we say his *spring training* is over and it’s time to step up and pitch….well….ABOVE what they’re paying him? This should be a low scoring game by two dudes who usually dominant this particular opponent.

Great report by Dirt on the last thread, btw. Had me CTM (chuckling to myself) more than once…

The last time I went to a Kings game (several years ago) they had a banner hanging for the 1951 Rochester Royals’ championship.

Schulman that passive-aggressive glass is always half-empty of Blanton’s negativity maven mentioned it in a tweet just now–Bum got a lot of outside corner called strikes just off the black. And Schulman was right. Those were great pitches, but still . . . Bum’s strong eight against the pods with that zone needs some context. We have an ace, finally. But there’s a lot of uphill work to do, and the HP umps won’t always be so accommodating.
