He’s a Bum

At this point, even if the Giants wanted to trade Bumgarner, even if they sold a team mostly on trading for his post season mystique, there’s no way they get an offer that would make any sense. Bum has nearly 1600 innings on that 28 year old arm and that’s even with sitting out most of the last 2 seasons. It’s entirely possible we are just seeing him in decline (or worse, just about to snap off an injury).

I just pray we play out the next season without giving him a new deal. It would be disastrous to sign him to another contract….

The day we’ve all been waiting for is here! Win today and we tie the series and you know what a tie means>>>>> it means we fucking win baby, hell yeah! I want that trophy more than anything I’ve ever wanted in my life and of course this .500 team is setting it up to take it down with a .500 record in the series…..

Agree on Bum. Was hoping he would start stringing together some good starts so that he would have some decent value.

Dude had NO command yesterday and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. Take away the six BBs, and it has the makings of a pretty damned good start.

I still cannot believe the dumb ass method they came up with in determining who wins the damned trophy in a tie series, but what the fuck ever…just win today and bring that bitch home…

I might agree if he got slapped around, which he didn’t. Other than a couple chump hits A’s didn’t touch him until the one bad inning when they got all the BBs. That inning alone ump would not give him shit–at least one or two borderline pitches per hitter he got zero help on. The guy was bad all night very inconsistent on outside corner to LH/inside to RH.

giants could trade Bum tomorrow, along with Belt Watson. They might not get the “haul” expected but he has very friendly contract and decent ERA. The others have had very good seasons too and could be moved if that’s direction Giants want to go.

I use to make model cars all the time as a kid like the Munster Mobile,Beer Wagon with wooden kegs in the back,vettes,mclarens24 hr lemans, Red Baron tri planes,and my favorite a 2ft tall Frankenstein model with moving arms and a chain with a brick attached! Started watching the golf as Tiger hit the turn in 1st. Since that point he sucked bad. Missed every fairway. Played dumb vs safe, and couldn’t make a putt. Got outplayed by a guy no one ever heard of before today. Still had chances despite that…Woods Mcilroy Spieth Rose all in top 5 down the stretch and Molanari wins???Crazy

  It has been broadcast locally…and I thought nationally. The big difference between the Sevens and regular rugby is only seven players to a side. Translates into lots of open field and a fast game. Only 7.5 minute halves with like a four minute halftime. I think it is pretty damned entertaining. There are women’s matches, too. Those are some tough ladies.

Belt’s numbers now more in line with what you’d expect, although it’s worth noting he still has not gone on one of his annual K binges, and since June 1, nearly 40% of the pitches he’s seen are from LHers. For the year it’s 34%, and a typical number is in the 30% range.

Slater needs to be getting some extended playing time. The Giants probably aren’t going anywhere this year, so give these kids a chance to show what they can do. He strikes me as the most ML-ready of their young hitters. Any experience gained this year will pay off down the line. Is paying Pence all the way to the bitter end of his contract that damn important?

If I’m the Giants, I’m looking to offload as many veteran contracts as possible before the trading deadline.
