Red Socked in the 7th
Our idiot Liar in Chief decided to chime in on baseball last night:

Look, fans always want to have it both ways. And if Trump is saying it you know it’s a fools take. But when a guy has pitched 10 innings in 4 weeks you don’t just leave him out there until it all falls apart. Cora took a ton of shit for leaving Rodriguez in TOO LONG. And Roberts literally just watched that blow up in his face. Hill had thrown more than 100 pitches 3 times all season. They had a commanding lead. To top it off, Hill literally told Roberts he was nearly done. And while the bullpen was gassed from the night before, if you had told Roberts before the game he was going to get Hill into the 7th inning he would have thanked God and confidently gone to his bullpen. Now, you can argue with his bullpen choices I guess, but that’s lame. The bullpen is there for a reason. You have to use it and these guys either perform or they don’t. That’s not totally on the manager.
Ugh, defending Roberts just took a lot out of me. Time to wrap this thread up (as well as the series later tonight).
My favorite image from last night:

Fuck LA. #4lyfe
What about Pearce for MVP, Kat?
that seems like a guarantee
Not Price?
i’m calling Pearce but Price wouldn’t shock me
Kelly was actually considered a bit of a bust initially for the Red Sox.
let’s go. Time to choke the life out of these fuckers. Whatever life they once had in them, anyway
Squeeze the juice out of them, so to speak.
I know, I know, there’s no proof.
A dramatic Pederson AB going on, and they do a Taco Bell commercial. It’s an insult to baseball fans. MLB needs to eliminate that “innovation.”
Hernandez completely fooled on that slider.
Price will get it.
Easy Blade!!
Price was dominant!!
I think so AK. Could also be a tie between Pearce and Price.
Annual tradition:

Rotflmao 🐔🐔🐔
Yeah
BOOM!!!
MOTHERFUCKING FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Appropriate this punk is up to wrap up the World Series!!
Strike Machado out!!!
And he did!!!
Congrats Boston!!!
Bye Dodgers.
wow what a way to finish them off, nicely done by Sox pitching.
Made a lot of Dodger hitters looked bad this Series.
Been awhile since dodger stadium hosted such a joyful celebration
Yeah, one year.
What a great series. It should have been a sweep but this is fine, too. LA was completely embarrassed in this series and that makes this entire season worth it for me.
Boston you just won the World Series where are you going to go?
Party all night long
at Disneyland!!
I hope they wear their Sox gear. lulz
Kinsler is a very happy dude.
Losers Again!
Dominant performance. This Red Sox team is going to be scary for awhile. The Giants seem so far away from this level of play. We’ll always have 3 in 5.
Or 3 in 65, depending on your outlook…
Does Manny Machado win the MLB Ty Cobb award for spiking the most players?
Price will win MVP I guarantee it!!
We never had enemy fans in our stadium during the WS at these numbers..I would be embarrassed if I were a Fodger fan…this is another winning season for us Flappers!!!
I don’t agree, GH. We had a wretched season and the outlook is dismal.
This is just a temporary relief of the nausea…
Better than no relief at all!
🙂
I am in the camp that a successful season equals Fodger misery…we have 3 WS while they have had 0-30….hoping for 0-60…
Bosstown.
Last six outs for the modern-game Dodgers: K-K-K-K-K-K.
Looks like a lot of Dodger fans will be doing this again . . .
Classic Blade 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kershaw is one of the biggest chokers in postseason history. Age and innings have caught up to him. Injuries as well. Analytics are a great tool, if used in moderation. But the team and organization can’t win a championship. They’ve reached the postseason six consecutive seasons and choke every year. They are the Buffalo Bills of baseball. It’s pathetic.
Pearce. As I guaranteed.
My guarantee is revoked!
Steve Pearce congratulations!
You look 👀 more like a trucker then Price anyway!!
So much for Price winning MVP! Good for Pearce!
Pearce definitely was deserving of the award.
I miss the Chevy guy that presented the award to Madbum. He was hilarious.
I didn’t even notice the mvp award got named for Willie Mays last year. The trophy looks like a backyard statue sort of thing
It should be named for Reggie Jackson…
Now we get to see what the Giants dream up for an off-season. A lot of work to do…
Sorry, Blade, had to borrow your pic. I’m friends with a few Dodgers fans on FB and I can’t resist posting it there. That one will go over real well. ROFL!
The VHS tape? By all means . . .

I think that Dave, Farhan, and Andrew were saving their collective mental energies for the 12 dimensional tiddlywinks tournament next weekend.
Today in L.A.:
Rams win
Kings win
Clippers win
Dodgers . . . didn’t win.
I’m curious about what Kershaw decides on free agency. At some point this week, he must decide whether to exercise the opt-out clause in his contract, which is scheduled to pay him $65 million over the next two seasons. I can’t believe how many articles are saying that he will opt out of his contract . . . His mediocre performance in the playoffs tells me that he’s crazy to opt out of that contract. Wait and see . . .
Yeah, it’d be lunacy to not take that money.
Agree that he’d be nuts to opt out, unless he’s looking for more longer term security than 2 years, because 2 years from now, his bad back could prevent him from getting a new contract at that time. Maybe a team that needs more wins in the regular season but feels well-built for the post-season would want him, but certainly not at the price that he’d want. Heck, Giants could use him during the regular season to help get back to the post-season…. just don’t use him in the post-season….
As long as he takes his Social Security at 62, he’ll be fine…
What Paul said makes sense – a longer term contract at a reduced annual salary. However, doesn’t the Player’s Union monitor this shit? I thought there was some rule against a player and club taking a significant pay cut???
Haha, Loo, yeah, somehow I don’t think Kershaw needs to worry about when to collect Social Security…
There is absolutely no chance that he opts out.
