Playing The Asterisks
We have our secret weapon *undecided* going for us today in Houston. Who knows, the Asterisks have been pretty beatable now that they don’t know what’s coming every pitch.
On paper this one looks like it will get ugly but maybe Kap stays out of the way enough during the game and we steal a W.
A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
Giants good at hitting HRs with nobody on.
LA is good at hitting HRs with bodies on.
LA may have a low team BA. But, just about all starters hit dingers. So, when somebody hits one, there’s liable to be somebody else on base. Giants, not so much…
This is the lineup I think the Giants should employ:
Yaz CF – Plug and play
Slater RF – Has that good inside out swing on hit and run (which no one does anymore). If Yaz not on, but Slater gets on he can steal a base.
Solano DH – Not a good fielder. DH best spot for him.
Dickerson LF – Power threat. Don’t like him batting second.
Flores 1B- Professional hitter.
Bart C – 6th slot is a good spot, can move up in the line-up if proving to be the real deal.
Longoria 3B – Better at third than Solano.
Crawford SS – No good options here.
Dubon 2B – Seems better suited here than at SS.
Release Panda, Pence. Package Cueto and Belt in a deal to the Indians.
Jarlin Garcia should now be the set up man in the 8th inning, Gott the closer.
Good for Dickerson but expect more power. He’s had rough road trip and this is hitters park.
Pads used opener vs. LA. Lead carrot top 2-1 after 7.
They don’t give up, so there’s that.
performance tonite should just about sew up DH role for solano, no?

That’s called a mystery, entangled in a dilemma and wrapped up in a conundrum.
Was awol from the game till the 8th, saw the score and apprehensive about a shutout. Then Slater connects. Down by too much the Giants did make it interesting in the 9th. Belt again at cleanup batting .138 and goes nada for quadro . Defense? There’s a Norwegian term to describe it: “Uff da! ” At least this outfit doesn’t roll over and take it. Wondering now how many MLB teams have not yet been shut out.

Poms had 1 2 3 ninth for the save as pads use 6 pitchers to beat LA 2-1.
Wasn’t a fan of kaplar hiring because he was ripped so often for use of pitching staff. Pulled a started in 4th inning or something of shutout ball in 1st week. Never changed.But to be fair..players do seem to play hard. They can’t field worth shit, but we have been down 6-1 a bunch (is that a rule we get down by 5?) but always seem to come back. Last 2-3 years if we were down 3-4 runs in the 7th that game was OVER! Gotta love this new way

I remember that great basketball coach Bud Presley who coached in the 70’s. at Menlo College winning a lot of titles and even was elected into the Bay Area HOF I believe?
Bob Presley, played C for Cal 2 seasons late 60s…drafted by NBA but didn’t play instead went overseas. Dead by apparent suicide in Portland 1975.
