mm any horse capable of taking down the fav Tiz the Law? I noticed Del Mar jockey Mike Smith is on second choice Honor A P. Gotta admit I enjoy watching tvg racing from different venues during week, especially when Del Mar program is televised on weekends.

On other hand, like Zum said, NBA has become dang near unwatchable. Endless diet of casting off from long distance, high screen and roll and 1 on 1 playground ball. I like Clips and hope they win but yuck.
Will give them credit for bubble format that has worked so far, like hockey one has
Understand baseball is looking into something like this for playoffs…hmmnn

Offense has certainly been pleasant surprise. Belt Craw longo much improve in small sample size and Yaz Solano Flores all exceeding expectations and projections.
Pitching…14th in ERA (still over 5.00), runs against per game and HRs given up, 12th in BBs 10th in Ks. Fielding among worst in league for errors and pct., which doesn’t count balls in play not converted into outs (like Wed) botched run downs yada yada.

Homestand has 4 with tanking AZ and 2 with M’s before road trip at SD for 4, at seattle for 2 and then 3 at A’s. Offense at home another pleasant surprise so far, see how sustainable this will be over final 22 games.

It’s really amazing this teams turn around in hitting compared to the shit products of 2017-2019.
They are 1st in hits and only one of 3 teams with over 200 runs scored! These young new hitting coaches Donnie Ecker and the other 2 I don’t even know there names? Have this team preaching plate disclipine working long counts( forcing opponents pitchers into large pitch counts early in games and forcing them out cause their laboring)and then bang tee off on a mistake!
They have all bought into these young guys philosophy and it sure has paid off. Quite an up grade from the incompetence of the former 2 idiots I use to constantly rip in Rick Schu&Alonzo Powell..

Now if they can eventually get the pitching coach on board ( huge task) this team could make some noise in the playoffs.Good 1st rd matchup if they get in might be the Braves who’s pitching staff is in shambles…

If the hitting on this cobbled together squad had been available to the 2010-2014 team, who knows what would have happened. 5 of 5?…

Still many questions–Luciano as SS or 3b, Wilson as SS or 2b, Ramos and Bishop as corner OFs instead of CF. interesting, one of the 1b prospects Logan Wyatt is really good at…taking walks.

  14. Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 4, 2020 at 5:33 pm

let me tell you about Baffert, his win % is still ok but I have NEVER seen so many of his 2/3 year olds eat shit at less than even money as I have this year.Used to be a young Baffert horse was getting bet hard you hammer it (or just stay out of the race). That’s half the reason I took such a big stand against Gamine.

    • djloo27's avatar djloo27 said, on September 4, 2020 at 5:52 pm

      Great move. Gamine was dreadful.

      • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 4, 2020 at 6:04 pm

personally I think he knows the heat is closing in. Whatever he’s done in the past to drug his horses he’s changing it around now trying to not get caught. It’s affecting how his 2/3 year olds are running. Fuck him it’s time for him to go DOWN

      • djloo27's avatar djloo27 said, on September 4, 2020 at 6:08 pm

You gonna try to beat TTL tomorrow?
Was it last year that you brought in that 90-1 shot in the super?

      • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 4, 2020 at 6:23 pm

I am working through the card now. There are some amazing betting opportunities. As if right now, I don’t think beating TTL is one of them. But I’m only halfway through the card for the second time. The way I cap days like this is I go through it 4 times straight. Takes a long time when I’m re-watching so many races too

      • Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 4, 2020 at 6:25 pm

i think the 90-1 shot was 2 years ago. Last week at Del Mar I closed out a pick 3 with a 60-1 on top. It should have paid more than it did.

  18. Flavor's avatar Flavor said, on September 4, 2020 at 7:08 pm

Brandon Belt is one of our best hitters and has been carrying the team this year. You’ll note I said “hitters” great to see him swinging the bat instead of waiting for the ump to send him to first base.

    • willedav's avatar willedav said, on September 4, 2020 at 7:22 pm

68 pitches in 3 IP for Clarke. 39 for Anderson. Average it at 23/ for Clarke against 13 for Anderson. Even if Clarke holds SF to 15 each over the next two he’ll be at 98. Those have been long innings for him and a lot of tension-energy expended. I would lay money on Clarke not going six.
