Well that’s certainly one way to avoid a bullpen implosion— good for Cobb Salad who finally put it all together.

There are unconfirmed news reports that Sarah and David were dancing down the Embarcadero like 2 young whirling dervish.

I shall be at the game tonight and will see if I can join up with the rest of The Believers…

Given last night was a Monday, lot of empty seats at the park…maybe Flav keeps a rare win streak going. Cards look like us, pretty mediocre…

Hey enjoy game Flav! 2 already? Much props.
As MLBTR column on Slater and Haniger pointed out, SF was 29th for OB vs. LHP and way down in slugging too so 2 more RHs should help. Haniger in lineup every day as long as he’s healthy and Slater fills in CF, with Yaz Conforto in OF and Wade at 1b vs. RHP. But Giants again beat LH SP.
And Cards once again lost to RH SP, dropping their record against them to 6-13.

With J D telling everyone 3b is mine, Villar is still the ? once the Ruf IL stint ends, phantom or not. C spot has just been a nightmare and Sanchez not hitting much at Sac.

    Bart seems to be growing into productive player. If he has to miss some games, I’d be in favor of bringing up Bailey from AA for short terms over Sanchez.

    Improvement in Bart’s D has been terrific. Then after a long string of singles (and maybe one bloop double, don’t exactly recall) he rips one down the LF line last night. Great sign! Until he limps into second with a groin injury. Snake bit.

Davis indeed is claiming his playing time, offensively and with his D. If I squint a bit watching that 3-run HR, reminds me a bit of Jeff Kent, such a great RH power hitter for that park. And also don’t look now, but Yazz is among the team leaders in most categories. Sure is a better RFer than Conforto…

Back to JD Davis, He is playing insanely Good baseball looking like Brooks Robinson with the glove and squaring up the baseball, love watching him play..

Giants have a week I believe to figure out what to do with Gary Sanchez who has an opt out May 1st.They will probably recall him given the tedious catching position plus he can DH so what do you need Ruf around anymore for??

We are on the biggest roll so far this year. Maybe that is the spark we needed. Good article on the Giants this morning in the Athletic. Wade is a walking machine but the one stat that got my attention was we have been outscored 21-1 in the seventh inning.

I am pretty surprised the Pirates got a long-term deal done with Reynolds. He could have probably gotten more money by waiting, but man, $100 million is nothing to sneeze at. He did give the Pirates the ol’ hometown discount.

Pirates knocked Synegaard around and led 7-2 after 4. Then Chris Taylor hit 3 run HR in 8th and Dogs won 8-7. It is cool they can hang onto Reynolds as long as they want to.
