Go google “Cuzzi blown call” and you’ll see there are countless fuck ups by this tool….

A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
Ahhhh….with life having a little more importance over my beloved baseball team at times (gasp…come off the ledge), especially lately, I haven’t been able to participate nor watch as much baseball as I would like over the last couple weeks. So why now?
Just caught twinfunkle’s POTD – ‘very nice, high 5’ (in the words of the great Borat).
However, we need to get something straight, I own Room B and admittance does not come easy. It was built and designed for me and I am much more than just the groundskeeper. Twin, hate to break it to you but you’re no longer a slum lord, I have rebuilt it into heaven on earth. Eminent domain has kicked in and you can send people my way, but unless they have a strong background of non-hypocrisy, a belief projections are just that, and a sense of humility, they won’t even be considered. Applications can be found under the mat out front.

The reverse hex/jinx stuff is funny. If my team was winning, I wouldn’t get up or switch positions on the couch. At one time or another, a lot of guys have been the subject of animosity, only to prove us wrong, albeit sometimes briefly….remember when Whitey was hitting .340? A week ago after the 4 K game I couldn’t understand why Guillen ever played, but he has hit the ball hard ever since. So I’m done predicting anything except excitement, and unlikely heroes/goats.
Both teams should be ready for a big game today, both SPs more than tough. Homestand should be electric; friend of mine and her two boys will be there Tuesday vs. LA. What a great experience for young kids, the place jumping with Dodgers in town. And, SD and Colo get to beat each other up, hopefully over a couple 14 inning games curfew busters.
SF has taken it to some prettty good pitchers this year. Jiminez, Holliday…Time to add Latos to the list.
Since Cuzzi’s from Jersey and the game doesn’t involve one of the NY teams, maybe his ineptitude will stay neutral and not favor either side. I did not see any of yesterday’s game — was Crawford really that bad? It’s an outrage that one of the worst crews in all of MLB gets to work such an important series when they should be at Cubs-Brewers instead.
We’re 0.8% out of first place, not 8 percentage points. A percentage is 1/100th, and the baseball standings break it down to thousandths. So, we’re less than 1% behind. That doesn’t sound so bad. 🙂
Also, I want to be a major league umpire. Absolutely no accountability, you can screw up over and over and over with no repercussions, and if anybody tells you that you screwed up, you can throw them out!

good one. This is the kind of money player SF used to be able to pick up, like Reggie Sanders, Ellis Burks, even the Hamilton guy we dumped off too. Lofton could probably still play CF and run.
Ross can run, sure, but getting on base isn’t one of his strengths: last 3 years his high for OBP is .321. So far for SF: .303. Last 4 times he has started, 1 for 12 with 2 BBs. He’d be an unlikely hero, but might get at least get a shot. And FS isn’t really any better at OBP, and isn’t fast at all.
Poor Torres, one of the guys we really can’t replace adequately.
But this happens all the time in basketball, where a starter is out and his replacement goes for 25.
Dennis, you ought to see if Andrew Luck is still available. I think he’s better than Cutler right now.

Don’t know if you saw this one, but the Raiders ran a flea flicker Campbell lateral pass to Higgins, who then throws it back to Campbell as he circles out of the backfield. Poor guy has been under extreme duress all day, and the last game he actually played in, got carted off in the Niners game. I think if I was him, the last thing I’d want is another chance to carry the ball and get whacked playing behind the raiders o-line.

Bud Black did commit a bit of managerial magic yesterday in starting Stauffer. I did not think he would be good for the number of pitches he threw, but he was a starter last season and must have run on adrenilin. Reason for the magic in him replacing Correia in the SP role is that SF has seen plenty of Kevin and would have hit him well. If Giants batters have a primary problem, its getting to fair to pretty good pitchers they have not faced very often.
BTW: Bochy better well have had an intuitive inspiration in starting Rowand to replace Torres (get well soon, Torrid one) over Ross, with Cody having had some success against Latos. Timmy needs to be on his A+ game today.

We’ve all seen rookies come and go… many start out, for a couple of weeks, hitting everything in sight, looking like Ted Williams… then everyone figures out where the hole in their swing is. Was just thinkin’ a couple of weeks of that rookie-luck might be the spark at the top of the order the Rowand probably won’t provide.
He’s hit .267 with .349 OBP in 6 seasons. Never above AA before the call up this season. There is not much of a history there for opposiing pitchers to figure out. I know what you’re saying. I just don’t see it happening.
