A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

Another Rain Game

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on May 5, 2016

It’s another “Uh oh, Matt Cain pray for rain” game. We are going to have a little weather in the Bay today but not enough to halt Cain’s ascension to the mound this evening. So, unfortunately, the only thing *raining* will be Colorado hitters raining bombs down on vulnerable fans in the bleachers.

Krukow has the KNBR morning show today at 7:30am so if you want to hear some of his best blather about Peavy you should tune in. I think you can stream it. I’ll listen to it in my car on the way to work and chime in about it later.

Hey, if he gets blasted that’s now 40% of the starting rotation that can no longer be ignored. And my main man BigTimeTimmyJimJim has his showcase tomorrow. Just something to think about……

I’m so pissed the Giants aren’t winning right now, I refuse to post any exculpatory data on Kelly’s behalf. 🙂

Cain is still the real issue tonight.

God you think Cain would have major whiplash watching all those balls getting raked against him..

Bad error, but I don’t blame the defense. It’s got to be tough to play defense behind a pitcher who’s struggling so much.

If I’m Heston, I’m laughing my ass off. I know he’s not an ace, but he won 12 games last year. These two guys won’t win 12 games combined for the rest of their careers. I’d put the over/under at 7, and that feels high.
Heston needs to be in this rotation, stat. And yes, it does suck that Petit is gone.

    • chipower9's avatar chipower9 said, on May 5, 2016 at 9:59 pm

Heston got his ass handed to him last night. He isn’t fairing too well in Sacto. He is NOT an option. If they bring him up for either Peavy or Cain, we are really in deep shit.

Hey, at this point, I’m up for them DLing both Cain and Peavy, and bringing up anybody with an arm south of 30 years old. Seriously, nobody in the minors can be worse than these two. Cain is officially now into his third season of stealing money on his deal. Cain’s contract is every bit as bad as the bad Zito days…

It was beyond the pail Stix … beyond belief, beyond reason, beyond … the beyond! However, as stinky as the pitching was an almost even greater concern is the fool we have coaching 3rd base!! WTF?!?

As one Flapper so aptly pointed out, sending Posey was not only stooopid, but it was also dangerous! Kelly has crossed the line when he is endangering our players with his blatant incompetence.

I’ve never called in to the KNBR post game show with either Lurie or Woodson but I was sorely tempted after this debacle .. Especially when it became obvious near the end of the show that the neither callers nor the host where going to address the situation in the coaching box at 3rd.
