A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball

13 Runs in 4 Innings?

Posted in Uncategorized by Flavor on June 29, 2016

Let me be clear about this: I don’t like bullpen guys. What do they have to do? Go out there for 1 inning and throw as hard as they want? Boo hoo. If Peavy has a clean first inning tonight and then gets blown up in the 2nd we’d be calling for his retirement.

So I have very little patience for guys who can’t go an inning without giving up runs.

And we are halfway to the A’s sweeping us.

That brings up a valid consideration: Maybe we aren’t as good as our record indicates. While we’ve been busy slapping each other on the backs and dropping knowing dude head nods on all those who pass, it needs to be acknowledged that we have been beating up on some pretty average/pole smoking teams this year.

But, there is no dominant team in either league unless you want crown the Cubs ass. And we all know that success in the regular season means nothing come the post season……..

Turned this on just in time to see a home run a 3 base error hollowed by another error.

Did I see 40 pitches for Peavy in the 3rd?

      No, you missed them…

Don’t feel too sorry for Peavy. He will get back all of his money and then some. The investment firm that the swindler worked for is one of the top RIA’s in Dallas. They manage billions in assets. They failed to superivise their advisor and this will get settled rather quickly. It’s a drop in the bucket for them.

    • djloo27's avatar djloo27 said, on June 29, 2016 at 9:03 pm

I missed most of this one. What exactly did Williamson do?

    • zumiee's avatar zumiee said, on June 29, 2016 at 10:02 pm

Illegal slide to cause a doubleplay.

Botched a fly ball by not calling for it, and running over Pena, and injuring him. Instead of the 3rd out, the inning turned into 3 runs….
because he also failed to catch a homerun ball right in his glove that dropped over the fence.

Hit into a doubleplay with the bases loaded.

      • sandog's avatar sandog said, on June 29, 2016 at 10:08 pm

Also hit a foul grand slam that missed killing an infant by about 2 feet – obviously, not Mac’s fault.

In the attrition contest between the Giants and Dodgers, the Dodgers may have lost Pederson and Puig for a few games. Pederson ran into the wall hard last night, and Puig hit the wall hard tonight.

    • blade3colorado's avatar blade3colorado said, on June 29, 2016 at 11:01 pm

Hopefully, the wall is also on the 7 day DL concussion protocol.

      • zumiee's avatar zumiee said, on June 29, 2016 at 11:09 pm

Apparently Pederson hit the wall at 19 MPH according to stat-cast. Yikes.

More attrition: Dodgers’ Hernandez to the DL with a pulled muscle in his ribcage.
