Speaking of Fenway, geez, 40 years ago, but I remember that game and the Dent homer very well, was in college in Denver, and I skipped out of my Evolution and Ecology class to go watch it on a TV in one of the student lounges. I was a Yankee fan, more or less, at that point, still a handful of years before moving to Boston, and there was only one other person watching the game there… a die-hard rather obnoxious Bawston fan who kept slapping me on the back everytime the Sox did anything. When Dent hit his HR, the guy just got up and left without saying a word. That was the season the Sox choked something like a 14-game lead in the division. Good stuff.
