Well, 65 pitches in 3 innings isn’t pitching. It’s struggling to put guys away.
But maybe not nibbling. My take is that nibbling is often either a simple inability to throw a strike/hit the target or hitters laying off pitches out of the zone that, when they’re hacked at, are praised for fooling the batters. There isn’t some fearful “nibbling” mind set that all of a sudden invades the pitcher’s psyche every time there’s a loss of command. The hitters, not the pitchers, are the ones who control ABs.

As for Duggar, nice work so far, but I think we’d all like to see him do it for a full season or at least an extended period of time. Right now he’s sure earning his keep. With his defense, any respectable offense at all makes him pretty valuable.
