These Guys Want To Stay
GraveDuggar, Wade, Vosler…..who, exactly, is going to get sent down when we start getting some of our infirmed back? I guess it will be Vos but man I like that kid’s stroke.
Belmont Stakes day today! I know we’ve all been looking forward to this thread 🙂
I could obviously see Essential Quality win but there’s better value out there. I’m not running Rombauer back mostly because he’s facing a better field, the odds won’t be there and, I know this isn’t the most important thing but he’s so small and this race is SOOOOO long.
Anyway I couldn’t split hairs between Known Agenda and Hot Rod Charlie so I’m just going to use them both in my p4 and p3. Gun to my head and I only got to pick 1? Known Agenda. Good luck to you if you’re playing!
Rogers showed some stuff
Great job by Rogers, what’d he get, 7 outs?
He never looks the least bit perturbed. No matter what.
Atleast MacDog, for what Dubon can sometimes offer, he’s still a devious goofball that can drive a lot of people nuts 🥜!!
That was one wacky win.
Good win! These guys just keep on rolling!
The curse of the infield runs out just in the Nick of time!
Giants win ugly, but they still win and can Sweep 🧹 the Cubs out of SF tomorrow 🧹🧹🧹🧹
My god what a bunch of knuckle heads in the ninth. Ah well.
I’m not sure Dubon should’ve run on the ball in the dirt. Fox’s cameras didn’t show enough of the play. Contreras is quick as a cat. But with Dubie who the fuck knows.
Kap just needs to leave Vosler in next time. Good grief.
just banking wins. This shit cannot be understated. Farhan gonna work some magic at the deadline, this is getting EXCITING
Gausman dominant again and now at 7-0. That’s three straight comeback wins over the Cubbies, a team that always seems to give the Giants trouble.
Dubon and the curse of the infield almost kept Gausman from getting that 7th win.Along with the 7-8 extra outs that Rodgers has to get.Cant say they can’t beat a team with an above .500 BS anymore.Like BF just said keep banking these wins and be buyers at the trade deadline for more pitching arms etc..
Well it may be early to think about the trade deadline, but do the Giants have anything to trade?
One hell of a job by Rogers. He’s really changed my opinion of him with his work this year. He may not have dominant closer’s stuff, but he does seem to have the mental makeup of a closer. Not getting rattled is half the battle. A lot of guys would’ve folded up shop after Dubon’s contributions.
37-21. WOW.
Atlanta holds on to defeat the Dodgers.
Finally.
Kershaw takes the loss.
Major club hit…
Why are so many regulars missing from here lately?
These are high times for us…
What Dubon needs to learn regarding baserunning is the risk/reward ratio. That play today was worth taking the risk in that situation. He wouldn’t have caught flack if thrown out. How do you teach that, though? A player has to become a student of the game on their own, too. Talking to the veterans. Absorb their knowledge, if they’ll share it.
well, not if Richardson was yelling at him to get back, for his own reasons. Fox did not show enough to be sure.
I wonder if OSF is okay.
He was real worried about COVID…
Deadline trading ain’t what it used to be. Teams won’t trade real good prospects anymore. A Zack Wheeler or Brian Reynolds type of prospect doesn’t get traded anymore.
Regarding their real good prospects, all the teams now are:

The Dodgers did give up a real good prospect for Betts, but the Dodgers’ system was unusually loaded.
2-0 Mets over SD in the 5th on Lindor HR…
Calif. is now at 44% fully vaccinated for Covid-19. Massachusetts is at a very impressive 55%. There’s a few states over 50% now.
my zip code is 98% vaxed
The Mets scraped together another run. Pillar was part of the rally.
Lead is 3-0 now.
“Kevin Gausman was nearly unhittable yet again, allowing just two hits — one a Patrick Wisdom home run after a Crawford error, making the two runs he surrendered unearned — while striking out 10, all swinging, all on splitters.
More significantly, he said his hip “felt better” in this start, after it forced him early from his last outing in Los Angeles.
He’ll have to manage it, and he says it does not affect his delivery.
“It was always something that I would feel fielding a bunt or trying to get over to first quick and kind of aggravate it,” Gausman said over Zoom. “And then it would feel dull during the game.””
Doesn’t hurt the Giants to have Degrom on the mound for NY, who K’d 11 and walked only one in 7 innings of shutout ball, leaving with a 3-0 lead. Now let’s just hope the Mets BP can hold them.
Pillar RBI single, 4-0.
A good day for the Giants gets better.
The Giants lead both the Padres and the Dodgers by 3 games in the loss column.
