With our lead down to 1.5 games it is a good time to face the D-backs. Honestly, I’m not worrying about the standings anymore. LA and SD will be in full stride soon and it’s very likely they pass us in the standings. But who cares? If we fill the gaps we have and we stay close there’s no reason we can’t be in this race all Summer.
It is time to get back to winning games.

Looks like it’s gonna be a rubber hits the road scenario for the rest of the season. We just gotta out pitch and hit most every team we play. We need the ball to bounce our way on occasion too. It’s kinda funny but since we’ve had so much success I have come to expect it. When in reality expectations were extremely low for most around the league. Winning does spoil you for more.
The Giants would be very foolish to trade draft pieces for a misguided run this season. Farhan ain’t gonna go down that road in a million years. That was Sabevans thinking. Which got us 5 months of MehCutcheon, and Pittsburgh is getting 5-10 years of Bryan Reynolds.
Frankly, I don’t think the pitching holds up, but we’ll see. This team desperately needs bench help and a pen arm or 3. Longo, Belt and LaStella are distant memories. We can’t play every game 3-1.
Haven’t heard a peep about Longo. We are at the 4 week mark of heim being out “4 to 6 weeks” and that was early May.
LaStella? Well, he broke his thumb a few days ago, so he’s dust in the wind.

The Giants have a sizeable lead 7-8 games over any other wild card teams.It would have to be a major epic collapse not to make it.Their pitching and defense has carried them and the 116 bombs leading the way doesn’t hurt either. Just don’t see them going into a major slump, especially when they can keep beating up on D-backs and Rockies..

GH – Do you follow the minor leagues? Ramos has been struggling of late. Now is not the time to bring him up. He needs to play every day and work to get his hitting stroke back. Up with the big club is not the place to address his current issues, IMO.

.155, .261, .268 with 2 home runs. 15 hits in 97 ABs. Those are NOT stats that get you promoted from AA to the bigs.

Fun fact or not fun fact: DeGrom was drafted several rounds after Gary Brown was drafted. All the teams passed on DeGrom for many rounds until the Mets finally drafted him.

My experience around Spanish speaking people who use the expression “andale pues”, the sound of the “e” in pues is soft, not “pways.”
