I’m not ready to call what the Bore Core did an anomaly. I do think Kap’s coaches helped these guys with *bat paths* and all the other new age stuff. Maybe the extra year of life is just the beginning of the end for them. They certainly LOOK old. Hey, it happens. It’s weird that the bounce back year and the shit year are something they are doing in tandem but the facts are, they look and are old.
A Place To Talk About Giants Baseball 
Not trying to assess blame here, but there are limits to what coaching staff can fix. Yaz is again having rough year vs. LHP (.196 BA), as one example of something they couldn’t help him improve on all last year.
Longoria actually had good game last night, accounting for their only run and solid glove (and throws) at 3b.

I have no issue with Dusty pulling the pitcher after 115 pitches or whatever it was, the most by far he’s thrown. I care more about seeing Yanks lose, whatever it takes, than a no–hitter, and if ‘Stros don’t gag this away in 9th like the other night, then mission accomplished.

We are chasing 3 teams above us in the WC standings, one of which is the Braves. A very rare time for me where a Dodger win isn’t the worst result. Not rooting for them by any stretch, but will get something from the game either way.
When we look back at the end, where a win here or there will likely mean the difference. Losing a series at home to the worst team in baseball would be a place to see a painful lost opportunity!

Mental errors are mental errors. Yaz throwing to the wrong base has nothing to do with who is out there. Slater breaking the wrong way on a fly ball doesn’t either. Nor forgetting to cover 1st by Garcia. Just lazy stupid errors.
Kruk’s explanation on the Garcia play was that he failed to check the defensive alignment and probably figured it was an easy play for the 2nd baseman. He said that nowadays pitchers need to check that before EVERY pitch.
