Who Will We Play?

Normally, I’d say a team with 106 wins is very likely to win their play-in game. But don’t understimate the emotional drag this epic lost division will have on Roberts and his band of baby blue idiots. They also don’t have Muncy. And Adam Wainwright, goddamn, at 40 years old is doing things we used to see old pitchers in the steroid era do. The Cardinals are the hottest team in baseball and they have an excellent chance of knocking off the Dodgers tonight despite the rather lopsided career at bats vs each pitcher.

Mother fuck learned last night that as we are flying to LA Friday night will be mid-way when game starts (who has the series Fox ESPN?) and then wedding reception starts right at first pitch on Sat….FUUUUUCCCCKKK!!! And then of course could have been in LA for a potential Game 3 but flying out that afternoon and probably miss that while frickin game…

No team has more pressure on them than Dodgers. They were favored to win Division and didn’t; at one point they were tied for first with SF and couldn’t ever regain it after Giants retook it.
Now they could be bounced out of playoffs in an anything can happen game. Scherzer hasn’t been very good last 2 starts either–maybe couple guys that have tortured Giants over the years get to him early.

    yes but he’s only made 1 start since August 29th. He only threw 9 innings total all September; Brewers pounded him in a start early in Sept (7 hits 4 runs in 1 inning) and since then he’s only worked an inning or 2 in relief out of the pen.

Padres pounded 37 yr old Scherzer last outing sept 29th at Petco (11-9 game) for 11 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 innings, a bomb each from Caratini and Machado.
Start before that in Coors he only lasted 5 innings as well and also gave up 5 runs.
Combined last 2 starts: 10 innings 17 hits 3 HRs 10 ER.

But, then there will be the detractors that will say, well, it was a coin flip that LA got bounced by STL, and if LA had won the play in coin flip, they’d have crushed the Giants. No matter who we play and even if we make it to the big show we will still be underdogs. The fucking media loves just about everyone except us. That’s alright though since we have been here before. I hope St. Louis kicks the Dodgers ass tonight. I think we got a better chance against the Cards pitching.

When the Niners were riding high in the ’80s- ’90s, they got the respect and national media attention they deserved. So, it can’t be some kind of “San Francisco” bay area “liberals” bias or something?
Doghair games when LA is on TV are on just as late in the East as are Giants home games, yet LA gets tons of run in national media. The other day on the MLB.com landing page, there was an article about the pending post season with images of players, one from each post-season team, but NOT one from the Giants, though they have the best record in all of MLB. WTF?…

1b C and corner OFs suck. Pitching sucks–they gave up 114 more runs than Giants did, and scored 75 fewer. They have bloated contracts for unproductive players they are stuck with and fanbase that bough cool aid of being overhyped–problem is GM.

So I decide to watch ESPN AND MLB TV on Sunday after all the playoffs were decided, and who did they key on…not the two teams that had 100+ wins, oh no, let’s concentrate on Yankees, Boston. They must have given them 20-30 minutes of analysis time, then they get to the Giants, Dodgers and give them 5-10 minutes. I really hope the Giants win the whole thing.
